It's probably a very high number, mostly inflated from when I worked at a shitty startup and they'd order pizza and beer for us programmers whenever we stayed past 6pm... which was usually 2-3 nights a week.

Mark Hyman is a scam artist on the level of Dr. Oz and David Avocado Wolfe. Literally nothing he says has any scientific merit whatsoever. He's a well known snake oil selling moron. You got duped. It should have been obvious by every link in that article directing the reader to his personal business "Ultra Wellness Center".

But paying your bills wont get me a box in the mail with some useless gadget inside it so there's no psychological payoff for me.

I probably put about 4oz on a sandwich, along with a couple slices of cheese, mayo and if I'm feeling it - bacon and avocado. Then again I'm also 6'5" and ~260 so a 1000 calorie lunch is pretty norm.

See the thing is I'm a fucking idiot. My spending habits are exactly the same whether I'm making 2k a month or 12k a month. I just spend all my money because I have money because I'm an idiot. One day I wont be able to work any more and I wont have a retirement fund and I'll be fucked.

I had a really lucrative contracting gig for a few months where I made about 12k a month. It was nice until the end of the year when I remembered I forgot to pay taxes on it and owed the IRS an extra 14k.

Flashback to the month I spent over $9k on buying gadgets from amazon and eating out literally every day. Don't know what you're talking about.

I'm talking about doctors or pharmacists, I'm talking about the manufacturers that pushed things like Oxy and Percocet for decades and claimed they were non addictive. Essentially big pharma.

Do you return stuff a lot or just never use amazon or something? They usually send the refund to me before they even give me the box to mail the item back.

You don't want to know what kind of disgusting things you have to do just to find out the answer to that.
