The long and short of it is that Luuv wanted to put together his own little community, and then near-simultaneously the remnants of the ASMB were shut down so UEMB kind of became the organic successor. Never really had the greatest outreach campaign beyond word-of-mouth, but we're here!

we did a special ASMB 20th Anniversary event in 2023, and it seems *absolutely wild* to me that even UEMB will be a decade old next year

Yea honestly, I was most active on the boards circa 2007-2009, and that was when I was in college. Feels like a lifetime ago.

That is bizarre

We had a max influx of users who joined during the covid shutdown a couple weeks ago. 

There is also a discord, @Raptorpat will have to give you the link. I'm not sure where the thread is these days
