Supposedly, it was a box truck driver in a loading dock area that got jumped by Mark, who has no recollection of what happened after touching the window, including who stabbed him. Blacking out from intoxication is part of it, but it doesn't explain the confusion. 1 Quote

He drank too much and got really stupid in a blackout. It doesn’t matter that he’s never done this before. Maybe the “underlying issue” is he’s an alcoholic? he probably blew his career up because of this incident. He’ll apologize profusely.
