Had one tailor who would accept all sorts of odd jobs.  He eventually closed his store and kept a list of clients that he would still work for in his apartment.  He later relocated and retired altogether.

Second tailor, same as the first.  She even sewed a whole new lining into my coat.  She passed away recently.

Third tailor, does regular work such as hemming jeans, sewing on decal patches or does minor repair jobs.  I haven't asked for any odd jobs yet.

All have one thing in common.  They quote a fee up front, before any work starts and they stick to it.  None of them have surprised me with a long, padded bill.

This is how tailors are supposed to work.

This is like your first shtick, isn't it. I've been hearing about this lining being put in a coat since 2009. Like this was the first thing that ever got you a y real attention.

It's sad when a clown runs out of tricks

Actually, this isn't about the lining.  It's about the fee and how it's paid.  I never did figure out why so many people in this group were never able to find an honest tailor while I'm now three out of three.

Amazing.  I can’t figure out who’s been looking for a tailor either.  You have to be really short and emaciated to need a tailor.

Oh fuck it, one last one for the year.

I've seen a pic of you in baggy clothing. This is nothing about upfront pricing and all about who helps you crossdress in Lolita garments. That's why someone like you would seek tailoring services.

And that means he's the best. All hail the tailor finder. The thing no one has needed in years because we buy clothes that fit.

I can see if he was dressing in suits everyday but needing one to restore your salvation army acquisitions so they fit you is wild.

Anyway, I think it's shamefully wasteful to discard a fifteen year old hoodie, when the plastic zipper finally wears out and breaks.  For a third the price of a new hoodie, that zipper can be replaced by a brass one that'll get me twenty more years of use.

Bro....I don't think I've ever heard the words" fifteen year old hoodie" without hearing "I just threw away" accompanying it somehow.

It's part of why my total credit card balance never shows more than a hundred.  Yes, I'm comparing that to people who earn five to six times my income but have tens of thousands in credit card bills and no way to pay them off.

Ah, here we go...you playing imagination with other people's money....saving on buying a new hoodie is why you're so savvy.

I can only imagine what person anywhere is discussing their credit card debt with you, but this is just the world building part of the thread...Can't wait until it delves into full blown delusion after spring boarding from cognitive dissonance.

I hear the credit card stories every Sunday, broadcast over the air.  People actually call the host and ask for advice because they're drowning in debts.  It's a comedy when I owe nothing.

It's called hyperbole, big guy. 5X your income is like a 100k...

But I just realized why this keeps boring me so fast now...it's no fun making fun of someone too dense to know they are being made fun of

So, how does someone who gets paid $100k a year end up with $15k to $35k in credit card hock and a bank balance close to zero?

I don't know...not my concern. Idgaf about other people's finances as much as you do because I'm not trying to gauge how big of a failure I am after creating brain addled victories that other people laugh at.

Cool.....and what's this information I never asked for doing for you?

Got some sick investments....purchased some property you're going to flip for profit...capped that new hell cat.

What, you don't own anything but a clump of silver?  Seems like a hallow sentiment lauded about by the unambitious.

And, a credit score in the 600 range is considered poor by most lenders and others who need to check your credit.

I know how numbers work. You are just too dumb to understand when you're being insulted, and some find a way to keep misunderstanding even after the whole room is laughing.

Kinda pathetic, but consistent
