He eventually closed his store and kept a list of clients that he would still work for in his apartment. He later relocated and retired altogether. Second tailor, same as the first. She even sewed a whole new lining into my coat. She passed away recently. Third tailor, does regular work such as hemming jeans, sewing on decal patches or does minor repair jobs. I haven't asked for any odd jobs yet. All have one thing in common. They quote a fee up front, before any work starts and they stick to it. None of them have surprised me with a long, padded bill. This is how tailors are supposed to work. Quote
