André Toulon Posted July 26 Posted July 26 So they exhumed Coyote vs Acme. I'm here for it because its always an angle I wanted to see explored. 1 Quote
scoobdog Posted September 11 Author Posted September 11 One of the most fascinating subsegments of pre-wartime animation is the ones that used golden age movie stars and celebrities as characters. It's a uniquely American form of lampoon that blends the plastic buffoonery of animated (and often anthropomorphic) characters with recognizable faces. It's very much like the political cartoons that blossomed a century earlier in motion form, but with the unique element of a distinctly sanitized representations of personal idiosyncrasies. 1 Quote

And I'm not joking when I say this, to this day I have not liked Silver Surfer the character because of that game. 1 Quote

Mode 7 Posted September 29 Posted September 29 A few days ago I found the colorized versions of the Max Fleischer Popeye cartoons. The colorized were the versions I grew up watching on Cartoon Network. I'll admit the animation on the black and white versions are 100% better than the colorized versions but I personally prefer the colorized version because of nostalgia. 3 Quote
