According to Spectrum, there are "To Be Announced" where Blue Exorcist and DanDaDan should be, but otherwise it's pretty much confirmed. As for why they are going long with Naruto, did you know there were actually NEW episodes released in 2023? So it could be that they are working their way up to those in like late 2028. Quote

I see. Looks like a pretty good lineup, all things considered. 30 minutes ago, OwlChemist81 said: As for why they are going long with Naruto, did you know there were actually NEW episodes released in 2023? Adult Swim’s official schedule tells a different story. Dan Da Dan is listed but at the wrong time. Blue Exorcist and One Piece are absent. The 11/15 schedule is completely blank. They ran a promo for Mashle, confirming a 1am start time. However, the schedule has it listed at 12:30. If nothing else, I’d expect DVR troubles for people. 8 hours ago, OwlChemist81 said: As for why they are going long with Naruto, did you know there were actually NEW episodes released in 2023? Toonamiguy321 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Online schedule finally updated. Blue Exorcist S4 has been added to 12:30 and Mashle has moved down to the advertised 1am slot. One Piece has also been added and is moving into its next arc, putting an end to the 50 episode cap theory. Strangely though, One Piece is listed AFTER the Dan Da Dan rerun. So the schedule is, as the website shows it 12 - Bleach 12:30 - Blue Exorcist 1 - Mashle 1:30 - Dan Da Dan (rerun) 2 - One Piece 2:30 - Daima (rerun) 3 - Naruto (rerun) If that is correct and not a mistake, that’s quite the strange choice. I’d assume the DDD rerun slot is the one Primal will take over in January which would push OP down to 2 anyway, but I don’t see the logic for setting it up this way 2 months out, especially when the traditional year end marathons act as a bit of a schedule reset anyway. Sketch Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I'm not gonna believe it until it airs but I guess they could be trying to have a Creepy Nuts hour with Mashle next to Dan Da Dan or after just one airing at 2:30am they think Dan Da Dan will do better than One Piece (kinda not fair given OP was in a stupid filler arc that night). It really screws over One Piece right as a new arc begins though so I hope they're not screwing around with this. So now we wonder what will happen with Bleach. There's a non-zero chance it continues to the 3rd part but I have a hard time believing they got all but the last quarter secured in the initial deal. What's the rush when they can't show the 4th part any time soon? And maybe they can get more mileage out of the deal by rerunning the first 26 eps in the back. I'm holding out hope that prior contracts are worth a damn for once and One-Punch Man season 3 replaces Bleach at the top of the block in December. They could certainly stall with doubling up something or adding a rerun but is it so much to ask for the timing to work out for once? Quote

Regardless of the plan here, I’m interested to see what happens with Mashle’s OP after the first week. DDD not only aired a full OP its entire premier run, it continues to run a full OP even as a rerun, so it seems that something prevents Toonami from cutting that OP. Is it GKIDS telling them no cuts? Or Creepy Nuts record label saying no cuts? Or did 12 years into this block life did they finally decide to prioritize popular OPs rather than just whatever the lead is? It’s hard to believe they elevated Bleach just to pull it a few weeks later. If I had to guess their hurry, it’s because Bleach is one of the only titles they trust in the lead slot. Right now that’s a problem. Next year, the lead slot will be filled by an original or AS castoff almost every week of the year, so they don’t need to be pressured into conserving a trusted lead show. Im sure OPM is in our pipeline, but not this soon while it’s still airing and being dubbed. Quote

If the worst thing about it is Dan Da Dan airing before One Piece, then it's a pretty okay lineup. 4 hours ago, Toonamiguy321 said: If that is correct and not a mistake, that’s quite the strange choice. I'd say we'll only get one year end marathon in December this year, given how much money they've spent for this lineup. In Primal's case, I still think it'll be airing at 12 or 12:30. 1 AM may be stretching things, but I can still see it airing that late, if necessary. 3 hours ago, Sketch said: I'm not gonna believe it until it airs but I guess they could be trying to have a Creepy Nuts hour with Mashle next to Dan Da Dan or after just one airing at 2:30am they think Dan Da Dan will do better than One Piece (kinda not fair given OP was in a stupid filler arc that night). I mean, One Piece is obligatory, and likely at Toei's whims, whereas Dan Da Dan is a big grab that actually made headlines online. If money talks, I can see why Toonami would choose Momo and Okarun over Luffy and Sanji. Even if it's during a new arc. 3 hours ago, Sketch said: So now we wonder what will happen with Bleach. While that would be great to hear, I don't think they'd be that kind with so few weeks to spare. If anything, OPM will be a 2026 pickup. 1 hour ago, Toonamiguy321 said: Regardless of the plan here, I’m interested to see what happens with Mashle’s OP after the first week. I think the reason why Bleach has the top spot again is because they don't have the same amount of faith in BE or Mashle. At least, not unless they're desperate, which I'd bet dollars to donuts they will be in December. However, it will be an issue next year. 1 hour ago, Toonamiguy321 said: Im sure OPM is in our pipeline, but not this soon while it’s still airing and being dubbed. Definitely the case. I mean, only a third of the series has aired in Japan. Like it or not, Toonami isn't in a good enough state for a simulcast like Funimation or HiDive. Quote
Sketch Posted 54 minutes ago Posted 54 minutes ago They lead with Mash early this year so they might do it again for 3 weeks but that would mean Mash goes from 1am to midnight then soon after that is either back at 1am or bumped to 12:30 when Primal takes the top slot. I guess I’m alone in my prediction that OPM will start in December and either be slightly behind the dub on Hulu or less than a day ahead of Hulu premieres on Sundays. Quote
