Ok this one I will do too. Keep in mind my number 1 is because it can also emulate…

1 Steam Deck

2 SNES

3 PlayStation 2

4 PlayStation 4

5 Xbox 360

Didn't ever think to emulate on my son's Deck. I'll bet he took it to his mom's though so I might have to wait until tomorrow...That said I too will do the SNES games

1. FF 6

2. Chrono Trigger

3. Super Ghouls and Ghosts

4. FF4

5. Mega Man X

6. Ultimate MK3

7. Mega Man X2

8. Actraiser

9. Castlevania 4

10. Contra 3 Alien Wars

Honorable mention. SF2 (it wasn't that great, but finally playing it at home and the story of how I got it will forever be a core memory of mine)

And one more HM. UN Squadron...(I played this so much because I really loved bullet hell and this is what stoked that flame, played it more than some of those favorites just because I was constantly trying to beat my personal bests)

5 reasons my roommate is about to catch hands:

I cooked steak, and they complained about char…..from a charcoal grill. Then continued to eat $30 worth of steak, and had the audacity to ask for more.

Ate my food. Literally ate it in front of me, knew I saw them do it, and tried to act like they didn’t  then, tried to gaslight me, saying they bought that food  they didn’t  I’m the only one who buys food you don’t have to heat up in the microwave (or that you have to actually cook).

Went $6K+ into debt buying a PS5, Xbox Series X, and new TV instead of a new water heater, roof, and landscaping for the house….that THEY own.

I ADHD Brained for a second and accidentally left my laundry basket on the washer on day….and they barred me from using the washer, drier, and grill….because they were upset I washed dishes instead of moving my laundry basket.

They came home to me cleaning the house and kitchen on day…..and yelled at me like I had a tail. Took their work bullshit out on me. I IMMEDIATELY got them back by paying their rent in $1 bills, nickels, dimes, and pennies.

Also it's entirely possible it hasn't stuck with me as much because I don't battle Kefka enough to have it seep into my brain like the other ones.

I think of it as Uematsu’s magnum opus

Good list, love Actraiser. And you can emulate any console up to the PS3 flawlessly on the Steam Deck. It would’ve been in my top 5 regardless, but that puts it on top.

I’ve only ever had a roommate once in my life, less than a year, and yeah, they’re usually awful.

He's sitting next to me and I was asking him where it was, and he told me he had an emulator but deleted it because it was making it run hot.

I've barely ever touched it but I'm sure a quick cleanup might help with that, and I have no clue what he had

Top five Dragon Ball Z Abridged characters  (specifically their characterizations in that version)

Perfect Cell

Android 16

Vegeta

Piccolo/Nail/Kami

Krillin

This is almost mine verbatim except Tien would be my Krillin. His interactions with the subZ characters always give me a chuckle.....And Kikogofuckyourself is one of my quotables

I was debating those because of Tien’s interactions with Vegeta are such gold

Favorite Final Fantasy, in descending order:

  1. FF7
  2. FF12
  3. FF9
  4. FF6
  5. FF8 or FF10, tough decision

I've played more FF games, but it's too hard for me to rank top ten.

I believe people have grown to like 12 more over the years. I always liked it since it first came out. One thing I loved is that it had a huge main quest and so many side quests.

I never finished it because I was trying to defeat those impossibly (to me) hard marks at the end. I grinded all characters to 99 and still could t beat them.

You bow to no one.

And yeah, Lebowski is just one of those movies where it's better every single time.  I'm going to Lebowskifest someday.

Secret of Mana's soundtrack is super underrated.

Super Castlevania IV's soundtrack actually had a profound impact on me as a musician. I was revisiting the game one day in my adulthood and once that gate closed down and those ominous organ notes played, I wanted to get a pipe organ sound out of my guitar. That led me to eventually discovering the Roland GR-33 Guitar Synthesizer. I used it for organ sounds and other sounds like harp, sitar, tambura, bells, etc in my original metal songs.

Try playing it again. The latest edition of the game lets you speed the game up 16x, and it removes much of the monotony of grinding. It looks absolutely hilarious when all your party members die at 16x speed though.

I haven't!  It's on my shortlist.  The Von Erichs have such a tragic story.  At the same time I can't see myself knocking down my favorite Aronofsky movie.

Fluoxetine and prednisone are my bread and butter. I took 40mg a day of Prednisone for months at one time. Shit makes you crazy at those levels.

I haven't in a long time, fortunately.  One of my roommates is like ten times as white as I am so she's dinner.

I wept for 15 minutes the first time I saw it. Granted, I took an edible about 30 minutes before we got to the theatre, it was Christmas Eve, and I was with my brother (it’s a “brother” movie), but I’m sure I would have cried either way. I totally endorse it.

I did get the Zodiac version on PS4, I just need to get remote play working right on my Steam Deck then it’s on.

Five main tastes ranked in descending order:

  1. Umami - Savoriness makes everything better. MSG is love MSG is life.
  2. Salty - Also makes things taste better, most of the time.
  3. Sweet - Can easily be overdone and doesn't match many foods.
  4. Bitter - Normally associated with acquired tastes.
  5. Sour - Usually disgusting by itself, but good in certain combinations.

Howl’s Moving Castle is my favorite but I will chalk that up to also being my first so it’s twinged with nostalgia (like most things)

Does umami equal savory or is there a difference?

The funny thing is whenever I hear a Rush song that's not sung by Geddy Lee I want to hear Geddy Lee sing (unless it's Danny Sexbang).

I haven't watched the Netflix one.  I like the nightmares from the 70s animation.

Howl is amazing, but like you said the others just edge it out due to nostalgia.
