Icarus27k
I've found the following to be true as well. Despite a dubious reputation early on, Reddit has mellowed out over the years and is now full of normal people making mostly neutral or positive content. It's quite a story arc. André Toulon
I feel like reddit was always like that..,it's just less people seeking toxic topics like "roast me" or "rate me" or "Naruto"
Raptorpat
I never really figured out how to engage on reddit beyond reading it. All the interesting conversations it feeds me are already over and sorted so it's too late to reply.
Insipid
Uh, it's very easy to find obvious terminally online people on reddit with very shitty world views. It really hasn't changed much over the years, usership-wise. It is what you make of it.
1pooh4u
It really depends on which subreddits you follow but generally Reddit is more chill. The other day I was reading a story about a Twitter post that went viral on both Twitter and Reddit. The woman posted about her friend. He rented an apartment (somewhere in Europe) and he planted a garden in the yard. He made the yard beautiful. The landlord took pictures of the garden and everything, he was so impressed w it. He later informed the tenant that he wasn’t renewing their lease. The landlord loved the garden so much he used pics of it in the “apartment available” listing in the local paper. He significantly raised the rent BECAUSE of the garden. The tenant moved but when they did they took all the plants and flowers w them. The landlord was furious because the tenant took the moneymaking garden away. How could he possibly charge so much now?!? point is Reddit highly sided w the tenant where Twitter sided with the landlord (to the surprise of exactly no one)
The_annoying_one
I would say most of the people I come across on Reddit are cool. There’s always the occasional troll, just like anywhere else, but not too bad. Of course, I usually stay in the dumbest subs on Reddit. That may be why.
Mix
Guy in the burger pic has a bandaid on his finger. This is your example of a subreddit with no trash people?
