Well, that was pretty intense. Nice to get some more background on the Rockiens and what's going on with the whole gang war. Haruko as usual seems to be driving a lot of the conflict in order to try to draw out Atomsk. How many episodes is this supposed to be anyway? Is it 6 like the rest of them?

Yeah that was cool. Nice story bit with him.

Good question, is this gonna be 6 again or did they extend it this time to be more like a normal show?

Nope. It was just announced, seemingly for the first time, that Grunge is only going to be three episodes, and so will Shoegaze. So who knows how they're going to wrap this all up.

Who, Dainari?

He sounded like Assy McGee to me!

Marc Thompson. He was Casey Jones in 2003 TMNT, Duke Devlin in YGO, Chazz Princeton in YGO GX, Kid Muscle in Ultimate Muscle and lots of other characters in 4Kids and NYAV Post shows. Seems like he’s doing a Rocky Balboa impression here for the Rockian. Heh.

Didn't think this episode was too bad, tbh. Some slight exposition. The "eyebrows" was again a needless callback trying to capture the same magic of the original..

I think one of the major failings of the show is just how it never really established very well what the world is. We know Haruko's some space pirate of ill repute, if the tales are to be believed. Unsurprising that MM is spread through the galaxy as well. But this just didn't seem to establish the setting very well. Future Earth? Alien world with humans? And maybe some of that is a result of a 3 episode series, little enough time to set up a "classic zany FLCL plot." And obviously that's kinda rushing said plot along as well. But, all the rush aside, this one felt like it came closer to the mood it's striving for.

Did not like the pronunciation of "Samueda" through this, tho. Why the heavy accent on the last syllable? That's a fairly simple read right there..
