...over the years since the asmb disappeared. I had no idea how addictive it is. Somebody asked me one day if I wanted to join and I said "sure, I guess".  Things I found out:

1. I would be a terrible wizard or magic user. Most of the time, I get myself killed and occasionally some other people in my group.

2. I would be a so-so paladin or fighter. I can accomplish tasks and missions okay, but I always feel something is missing. Like, it being a chore more than fun.

3. I find that fulfillment in being a rogue. I'm really good at sneaking around, stealing, lying, checking for traps, etc. I didn't know I had it in me.

But seriously, don't ask me to use magic. It will end...poorly.

Anyway, I do that now usually once a week.

My kids keep playing around like they want to play....Bought dice, guides and some other shit but they still heven't gotten all their friends together to launch a game.

I never got into it, so I can't help them.

What edition do you play?

I started with the fifth edition, but the last year my friends have been using the 3.5 edition because we wanted to focus on our character development to a even greater extent.

If they started frequenting a comic shop, someone will inevitably ask them if they want to join. That's how it happened for me.

Please it would encourage reading, always a good thing.

My friends and I started with 3.5. We tried 5th and none of use really enjoyed it. And now I am addicted to buying dice.

Well, it's more of an anime shop and they host games there but my daughter is kind of an introvert and only wants to play with her friends....Now Buddy...He'll play with anyone, anything, anytime, anywhere....But He's no exactly good with taking instructiom so I also don't wanna just toss him in with some strangers who may be "serious" about it when he's just gonna be a casual ftmp

I'm proud of my main dice. They're simple brown with white numbers. I had them made because I couldn't find that specific color scheme.

A weird thing to be proud of I know. That's not lost on me.

I've never even played though I know enough that a lot of RPGs are simular.. It's just you rely on a DM... and rules that always seem to be bent or interpreted differently between players. As a kid I did all the competive trading card games. MTG still being the most widely diverse when it comes to rulesets/ official tournaments...

All that shit seems too tedious and abstract for me to devote much time to as an adult however... I've grown partial to spectating DND groups and getting off on the arguments.

People who pronounce similar this way are the worst.

You need to repent by sucking on fugg's hooha.

Nah hop on this dick first, then we'll talk about taming that beast. It's obvious your little stringy ass couldn't handle it alone.

Shit must be burnt into your retinas at this point...

Again man, this wasn't about you. Sorry for whatever I did to make you think that

I'm 100% cognizant it's not about me, and I'm not trying to make it that way either... I was however trying to nonverbily agree with you that I might of made a mistake in kind of fowarding his crap. His crap being what you face palmed so dont twist turn shit..

You right I prolly should've not replied, but honestly though take my post at face value because if punani zone comes at me or up in this shit the nukes still going off anyways....

I'd at someone, but they prolly looking through some crosshairs anyway. 🙃

I imagine so, as I believe Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy are inspired by DnD. I never got into it myself, so I dunno.

I think pretty much every Isekai ever was inspired by D&D in some form.

I was excited to read the seven new posts about DnD that I got notifications for.

It really shouldn't be so easy to derail threads, but it seems common nature here. Talk to me about DND. Let's sell it to outsiders...Lol man even in my military days seemed like all the cool kids know what's up....

Several military DND peeps always grilled meto join...lol I had even NCO's etc like..

Idk maybe I should look into this dnd crap...
