Reasons the universe won't give me a corgi.

1. I saw my neighbor's dog alone in the lobby as I got off the elevator. I spoke to the dog and watched it hop on the elevator by itself.

It didn't occur to me that nobody else was in the elevator with it and it went up to another floor.

That dog was probably trying to figure out how to get on the elevator when you arrived.
