lol, I've been a doordash driver for nearly two years now.

They all fucking suck, to be honest. Go pick up your food yourself or just cook.

Don't you kind of need the business, though?

Obviously. It's not like I plan on doing it forever. For most of I've been driving, it's just been a side hustle.

Truly disgusted and appalled at anyone who owns a car and still uses these delivery apps

Why? It's easy money, good for the short term.

I meant for ordering food, not delivery driving.

People routinely paying 50% more to spare themselves from a twenty minute round trip just grosses me out.

Don't use them...I barely trust the people in the restaurant....why would I give a 3rd party a chance to fuck with my food.  I can't believe people are this lazy.

well we are still in a pandemic.....that's the reason why a lot of those delivery app's saw a major boost in usage last year

it's nothing to do with being lazy it's everything to do with wanting to avoid people spreading the virus around all while acting like it's just a hoax

Paying a premium to get someone else to pick up your to-go food from the restaurant and drive it to your house is lazy, even if there is also an element of fear of the virus that's been in the news, in addition to the laziness.

If you're too scared of the pandemic to briefly walk into a restaurant (or go through a drive-thru) to pick up your to-go food, then don't worry, you can just pay an extra $10 to get some poor person to do this simple task for you. Let them take on all the risk of covid and navigating traffic while you stay safe at home in isolation.

Ugly mindset imo

I like to use grubhub. I find it to have the most options

Y'know, I've got to give you props for persistence.

I've delivered to quite a few people who stated they had covid. So there's that too.

Well, good on them for staying home while they were infectious, but ... I hope by "told" you mean through a message on the app when describing where to leave their food for the no contact delivery...

And not just answering the door like oh thanks this is great here's a $5, cough cough, sorry I have the thing right now

honestly why do you even care that they are using doordash?

if someone's willing to pay to use the service and someone's willing to deliver then what's the problem?

you seem to forget most Technological advancements exist to make life easier....it's not about working harder to make things harder it's about working to make things much easier

in turn that might result in some laziness but that's the point.....An Easier Life

like going from walking on foot to eventually cars

even the internet we currently use has made life much easier....we can order stuff at the tip of our fingers without leaving the confines of our humble abode

I'm sure Nabs also recalls you saying that you had little money for groceries. If you're using doordash for grocery delivery that'd be one thing, but you're clearly using it to order from restaurants.

I mean, it's your money so do as you please. Just don't go expecting sympathy if you complain again.

Hey I'm not complaining anymore I'm in a far  better situation (btw doordash doesn't really deliver groceries around me...the best they  can do is deliver from CVS Or a gas station)so You'll never hear me talk about lack of money ever again

i've never used one.

i rather walk or drive than to spend the money on that service.

Me neither.  I have the app, but it's easier to order directly and just picking it up yourself.
