1pooh4u Posted July 22, 2021 Posted July 22, 2021 Thank you. I am a Duolingo user learning Spanish. I’m into the voice lessons now with Carlos and Alejandra. 2

I should probably do the voice lessons. I just do the regular translation exercises that involve some speaking and listening, but I tend to skip the listening and transcribing ones because I can't understand shit unless I read it. 2

I was having the same issues as well but ya gotta do them. Eventually you can hear the separate words. I watch Spanish language tv too. I’m still better at reading than hearing and speaking. I lack confidence

You mean you don't know - "Adonde vas contanta prisa, al partido de futbol?" (bing) "Si, juega El Santos, campeons del mundo!" (bing) "Cuanto cuestan los boletos?" (bing)... "(bing)" was where the record informed you to "repetir, por favor". Of course, it was fun learning HS Spanish from a Belgian Foreign Exchange Student and picking up her accent while speaking Spanish. 1

We were supposed to check the records out in HS and learn the script so we could repeat it in class. I found that if I set the words to a rhythm I could remember it better. Unfortunately, Russian doesn't quite lend itself to the same. 1
