Vin Diesel is the most underrated action star

He's anchored action franchise after action franchise after action franchise by simply relying on the aura his voice bestows on every scene he's in.

That's fuckin' impressive.

Nothing else holds up under the slightest bit of scrutiny...acting = dogshit, fight scenes = dogshit, physical build = furniture mover/mall security

I don’t think I’ve sat down to watch any of his action films, but you can tell he falls in love with most of the characters he’s played.

Most of the money and leverage he got from being in the Fast & Furious films was directed towards ambitious passion projects. He became financially invested enough in Riddick ended up owning the rights to his character. His EDM music isn’t good, but that was something he did to pass the time last year. He’s also a massive fantasy nerd with an obsession with D&D. It’s something you wouldn’t really expect from an action star.

Points automatically deducted for Diesel as an action hero, since every single Fast and Furious movie is the exact same movie.

Points removed for the XXX trilogy, where he was replaced by Ice Cube in the second one, then comes back to finish the trilogy in the third one.

Points off for the Chronicles of Riddick series, because fuck those movies. They all sucked.

Points off for the Marvel Universe, because as aforementioned, "I am Groot'' are the only words mumbled by this dude, and he still couldn't avoid Thano's ''snap.'' Even the directors couldn't take another hour of "I am Groot.''

Automatically loses all credibility for The Last Witch Hunter.

+1 point for Bloodshot because it wasn't a terrible movie, but that fact had nothing to do with Vin Diesel being the star of the movie. But, we'll give him a point here anyways.

-100 points because almost every single action hero was included in some form in the Expendables trilogy. They even dug up Robert Davi and for some reason thought Kelsey Grammar was an action hero, but made no attempt to include Vin Unleaded into the mix.

False, they are some great bad action movies. That whole world of Riddick is pretty nerd fun. Similar to someone competently putting Dune on screen.

I want to ask if they put Karl Urban in the Expendables, when I first saw him I thought he was gonna be the next big action star but movies aren't like that anymore. If Dredd came out when Judge Dredd did it would have been huge.

I can look this up quickly, it'd be cool if those guys gave him a nod though cause I like the stuff I've seen.
