My car is in the shop, and I didn't feel like asking my one coworker for a ride or spending money on an uber. It wasn't too bad. Only took 45 minutes. Plus, I get my car back tomorrow.

so many of my travels in CA and NYC involved lots of walking like that. It's so healthy. Since being back in the midwest the whole car culture layout makes it impossible. Isn't it ridiculous how we live?

It is. American suburbia is built around the car, yet our infrastructure maintenance is shit. It's one thing I really like about where my grandparents live in Japan. It's so pedestrian friendly, even though it's not a big city.

As for the health aspect, all I smelled was car exhaust during the walk, lol

Mine was in the shop for two weeks I just got it back. The shop was cheap and I can order my own parts at discount so I said fuck it let someone else do the work.. I should've known better, but it's just spilled milk at this point..
