PhilosipherStoned
They all just sleep I think.. I'm pretty sure my switch only gives me the option for sleep mode in the power settings. I never use it off the tv dock though so that could be why.

Posts directly above yours tell you how to do it. And yes it applies to a docked Switch.

PhilosipherStoned
No I just don't really care. My system stays connected to power with a full battery anyway.

I don't either really, only time I actually powered it off was after a game crashed and it caused the system to run slow afterwards.

I think I've figured out how to power it off myself before anyway, but since I click the power icon and only get an option for sleep mode or whatever I usually say fuck it. André Toulon
Can't screenshot it because apparently it's like an overlay and doesn't show up if you try to cap it so here's a shittier pic
GuyBeardmane
Even when turning it off that way, as soon as I press the Home button it wakes up like it was just in Sleep mode. I'm assuming the Power Off and Sleep Mode are the same thing, and it only has the Power option in the menu just to put people's minds at ease. Just like saying "Yeah, it's off. You're fine. Don't worry about it."
Chapinator_X
My Switch is inconsistent on whether it wants to turn off the old fashioned way or take me to the sleep mode menu. There’s at least three different ways of turning it off and only two give you some peace of mind that you’re not just putting it to sleep

I'm just trying to help. I mean, I'm legit the guy that needs it to be OFF off....Not asleep. As you can see, I don't have a docking system, so being asleep means it's still draining the battery, although slowly. If docked, it'll switch the battery off once at 100%, which is handy for keeping it asleep....But in the case of the lite, with lack of docking capabilities, I've come back to it like a week later after a full charge on sleep and only had about 55%

But yeah, the Lite doesn't take long to charge, and putting it on Sleep Mode is effective. I was just on 15% battery life, plugged in and kept playing, and after five or so minutes battery life was already showing up at 26%. So far I'm satisfied with this thing. GuyBeardmane
So it turns out I'm just a liar. Powering off does not let me turn the thing back on just by pressing the home button. Problem solved.
