it's too bad black clover has shutdown production until an unknown date....so chances are even with at home recording they'll catch up easily

it's theoretically possible to animate from home via PC then send the finished work to be edited together (plenty of indie porn animators I follow do it)  but the anime industry is Soaked with "tradition" and won't allow that.....hence all anime production will soon cease

Well.

That was A GREAT dub. And I didn't hear anything different than when they usually recorded dubs!!  I would need to now hear this ep through headphones to really dissect it.

there's plenty of existing decent animes that have already been dubbed but never been aired on TV that toonami could license and air hey just won't

So all anime is completely done my computer now?  But I doubt they have that kind of equipment at home?

This show is really, REALLY pushing the school festival, which does make me think there were...objections to the plot and the characters are all but going “We don’t care.”

Since Japan's new anime is slowly grinding to a halt, I can see dub companies making dubs of older anime that don't have any, like Gunbuster, A Seiyu's Life, SHIROBAKO, etc.

A few still use pencil, ink, and paper for the animation, but that's it. I think some backgrounds for anime movies are still done by hand.

maybe Funi can dub some of the BL series they seemingly licensed just so Sentai couldn't have them then never did anything with

OR maybe you're looking too much into things and they wanted to have this be a lighter arc.

There have been at this point, multiple fourth wall breaks saying how important the festival is and defending it from naysayers.  It’s a bit TOO on the nose.
