Almost like Final Fantasy 10 either we're all ghosts or the dream of ghosts from a fallen civilization or some shit like that. You should look up the ancestor simulation theory. that said, if does seem like more and more big names in the science and astronomy community are tossing around simulation theories. One major argument they make is within 50 years we'll likely be able to truly simulate life inside of machines, and that raises the question of if we can do it then who's to say it hasn't been done already. 1
