Chappi Posted December 21, 2025 Posted December 21, 2025 Murakami’s joining the White Sox! https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/47378246/sources-munetaka-murakami-join-white-sox-2-year-deal His presence in a lot of the major WBC games made me think he’d be strategic about where he’d go if he was going to America. The White Sox have been going through it, but hopefully for them and the Pope, Murakami can help get them to the post-season. 1 Quote
Chappi Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Both of last year’s World Series are gonna look different this time around. Bo Bichette’s going to the Mets, which might be some good news for them after Alonso left, but it does mean the Blue Jays lost a pretty good player that’s been on the team for some time. It might also be a huge gamble since they’ll have to make sure that Bo and Juan Soto are enough to push them over the mark to the post-season this year. The Dodgers are also back to flexing their wallet with the Kyle Tucker acquisition. Time will only tell if it’s the kind of acquisition that would bring back last year’s calls for a salary cap. 1 Quote
Chappi Posted February 12 Posted February 12 The Phillies let Castellanos go into deep left field. It will be a home run, and so that'll make it a 4–0 ballgame. 1 Quote
Chappi Posted March 4 Posted March 4 The World Baseball Classic is upon us! I’m excited to see how the Dominican and Japanese teams fare, but currently Team USA has a ton of hype around them cause they beat San Francisco in a 15-1 exhibition match. The European division is an odd one since it’s a lot more transparent that most of the players are Americans from the MLB. Quote
Chappi Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago So far, the WBC has been pretty fun. I actually got pumped up to see more Venezuela matches cause I saw Miguel Cabrera was one of their managers/coaches. It won’t be fun for the Seattle Mariners though. After Cal Raleigh refused Randy Arozarena’s handshake, Randy didn’t hesitate to unload on him for not putting aside the USA vs Mexico rivalry to shake a teammates hand. Greatest hits include: “The only thing he should be thankful for is having such great parents. He’s very well educated, thank God. I was lucky enough to see them a few days ago at the hotel. They came over to greet me, gave me a big hug, and were genuinely proud to see me again.” “The other thing I want to say to him, I'll tell it to him Cuban-style. What he needs to do is go fuck himself. Mexican-style: he can go fuck himself. And in English, I'm gonna say it to him in English. That 'good to see you' he gave me? He can shove it up his ass.” Cal responded to diffuse any mentions of a beef, claiming that tensions are high and he was too locked in to acknowledge opposing team’s players. But when that player also shows up on your teams, it’s hard to gauge whether the Mariners morale will be tested this season. Quote
