People who love naps run the risk of missing things.  Such as a group text in which your family collectively decides they're having Thanksgiving at your house.

23 messages of who's coming at what time , what they're bringing, who might want crash-space and then finally the last text ending with, "What do you think *insert my name*?"  To which I responded a half hour later, "I think I'm hosting Thanksgiving this year."

 

 

I choose to believe this is happening not because I'm a complete push-over but because I informed my mom that I wasn't traveling three hours this year (because of my inner ear) so they're coming here instead...that's what I'm telling myself, lol.

I just finished ordering sides from Shoprite on the grounds that I think this is kinda last minute.  Not actually but sort of mostly because of all the cleaning I'm going to have to do...but also mentally it's kinda last minute, no?

Ever since I never expect people online to live in an area with the same regional shops as me.

Aw thanks.  Well, Mom's bringing the Turkey and I have one of those turkey roaster thingies...so I'll put her on basting duty 👍 probably the easiest job because of the roaster.  It's the mashed potatoes I'm dreading...I just know they're going to be tasteless.  I'll have to fix them, I can fix them, I CAN FIX THIS!!! Calm down, I can fix this. *nods*

I'm wondering it it has to do with a comment I made over a year ago, I vaguely recall offering to have either Christmas or Easter or maybe even Thanksgiving at my place... ... ...I think.  I mean it sounds feasible, lol.

See this is why i dont talk to family ever they bring up sht u said years ago like they got nothing better to do except call u on ur word about something u said like five years ago when u were just trying to leave or something idk maybe I'm just projecting

lol, naw you're not...I'm pretty sure that's what family is for - to throw things in your face, lol.  But I'm pretty good at laughing at myself, at least I think I am...so none of that stuff hits me hard.
