LOL killed him off on an accident.

So the original series never said how mobile suits were created?

the original series starts 9 months into the war. doesn't involve al this backstory in real time. a lot of it is explained in short expositions at the beginning of each episode

Who voices Amuro?

Not sure, the older version of him we're up to now isn't listed yet on ANN. Fryda Wolff was kid Amuro in the earlier eps.

But myanimelist has Lucien Dodge as another person whose voiced Amuro, and since he wasn't the old voice so I think it might be him doing the voice here now.

Why are the Federation ships being outclassed by the Zeon ships?  I thought it was just the mobile suits that were better.

They're destroying entire colonies full of civilians?!

And why are the colonies so easily destroyed in the first place?

Why is Rall going along with all this?  I thought he hated the Zabis too?

And what the hell is Char even trying to accomplish at this point?  I thought he wanted revenge on the Zabis.

Hayato and Kai!

ne thing about this series that i thought was weird. in the OG series, Kai was a snarky bastard, but  he was a lazy, cowardly snarky bastard, not a troublemaking bully snarky bastard

Hmm, maybe Yoshikazu was trying to smooth the edge just a little bit

AWWW...

I'm sure nothing horrible will happen to that couple in the next episode, right?

Here's the 2nd ED, as promised:

And also, the one review for this show, well, the OAV edition:

https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/mobile-suit-gundam/the-origin/chronicle-of-char-and-sayla-collection/.119454

Overall (dub) : A-

Overall (sub) : A-

Story : B+

Animation : B

Art : A

Music : A-

+ Beautiful character designs merge a classic look with modern production, storytelling offers new depth and dimension into the motivations of the One Year War's key players
− CG mecha animation won't be everyone's cup of tea, fourth movie drops the ball on what was previously the Char-and-Sayla show, making the collection less cohesive

And that's it for this week! Next week, we'll have the 3rd and final OP and ED.

Now, on to Lupin the 3rd Part 5, already in progress!!

The Gundam line of mechs is about to begin!

Get ready mooks, you're in for one hell of a ride of shitting your pants!

1.  Support vehicles.

2.  In case you didn’t think the Zeon were Nazis, yes.  The idea is that they wanted to end the war before it started with one high risk operation.  And that meant all the horror you see here.

3.  Human made stuff is fragile dammit.

4.  He’s clearly haunted by it, but in the series, it’s a clear case of “My country, right or wrong.”  And if you think that doesn’t happen IRL, ask the people who serve regardless of not liking the current administration.

5.  Char is clearly playing the long game.  He knows that at this point he’s not close enough to kill the Zabis, and that means integration into the power structure.
