It would be really awesome to have a classic Toonami aired series reran, like Outlaw Star or Trigun or Wolf's Rain etc

You sure as hell can't run IBO ratings poison again. problem is Toonami prefers to use the last spot to promote newer animes that recently wrapped up their first run(or first season)on tooami instead of digging into the old archives

That would be neat, but they'd have to re-license one I think. I wonder if Attack on Titan has been finalized for Spring 2017. If so I could see them repeating it in prep for AoT's return.
