Meilag32 Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 So what is that "mind blowing" movie? I'll assume it's the Hollywood GiTS movie 'cause it had to be great, right. :
Gyaos Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 "If you live within the dreams of other people, it's no different from being dead." Entering Deepak Chopra territory here.
mochi Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 if this series were connected to the movies the Major's lines would make more sense (in the original movie she surrendered her body to an Ai. program because she no longer believed herself human, so it makes sense that she'd have more of an understanding of and resistance to things that would bewitch people who retained their humanity)
Meilag32 Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 "If you live within the dreams of other people, it's no different from being dead." Entering Deepak Chopra territory here. I could probably handle 4 years of "being dead".
AnimationFan14 Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 A movie with no beginning and no end that hooks it's audience
Meilag32 Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Oh, The Major and Batou having a close moment. The start...
DangerMouse Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Dammit Major, don't look at the screen! Whew. I'm not familiar enough with this anime, so I'll just ask: Did the Major enter the Matrix or some similar realm? Kind of similar, in addition to networks many individual people also have cyberbrains in this world so it's not just a full online network that she can dive into (she can do that too). She can dive into those people's personal cyberbrains as well if or once she can connect to them after apprehending them. Some have better or higher grade protection than others and as such there are hacking or trap risks as well.
mochi Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 A movie with no beginning and no end that hooks it's audience sounds like a david lynch production
Gyaos Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 "LATER" Now to Bob's Burgers...which I'm not going to watch again. Night folks.

Meilag32 Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 the Matrix was a plagiarism of GITS the Wachowski Sisters are hacks The first Matrix film was good. The other two went off the rails incredibly quickly. And I can't call them hacks since they wrote the V for Vendetta film, which resonates now more than ever.
AnimationFan14 Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Major "When I really want to see a movie I make it a point to see it alone"
DangerMouse Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 the Matrix was a plagiarism of GITS the Wachowski Sisters are hacks It wasn't plagiarism though, and they also openly confirmed that GITS was their inspiration. LOL at Wachowski "Sisters" The first movie was pretty great IMO.
mochi Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 The first Matrix film was good. The other two went off the rails incredibly quickly. I just genuinely think they're awful writers, I didn't like any of the matrix films and all the other stuff they've done has either been awful or okay but written in a way that implies a HUGE misunderstanding of what they're trying to convey (like sense8, where a bunch of people's mind merge and they all turn into a psychic Pansexual orgy where everyone's sexualiities change and they turn into a pansexual superbeing with 8 bodies and lose their individuality)
mochi Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 It wasn't plagiarism though, and they also openly confirmed that GITS was their inspiration. The first movie was pretty great too. see my last post I just think they don't know what they're writing ever
mochi Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 It wasn't plagiarism though, and they also openly confirmed that GITS was their inspiration. LOL at Wachowski "Sisters" The first movie was pretty great IMO. the other one is Trans too now so, yeah, they're sisters
AnimationFan14 Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 sounds like a david lynch production David Lynch would be that guy to remove his brain for a film
DangerMouse Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 the other one is Trans too now so, yeah, they're sisters Oh yeah, oops I forgot about that.

mochi Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 I'll stand by my statement on "V for Vendetta", which took an all-over-the-place story and made into something politically relevant across multiple generations. I've never seen V for Vandetta so I'll take your word for it everyone has at least one good idea Like M. Night Shyamalan with the 6th sense
AnimationFan14 Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 From what I remember the red head on the left was the first to transition, years before the other
AnimationFan14 Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 I've never seen V for Vandetta so I'll take your word for it everyone has at least one good idea Like M. Night Shyamalan with the 6th sense If nothing else Split was a fantastic showcase for M. Night that proves he had at least two great ideas
mochi Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 From what I remember the red head on the left was the first to transition, years before the other yeah, Lana transitioned first (and she's the one with weird ideas about pansexuality being inherently purer than any other sexuality, which is why I dislike her)
mochi Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 If nothing else Split was a fantastic showcase for M. Night that proves he had at least two great ideas if nothing else no
AnimationFan14 Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 no Eh I guess the reviews were more Split than I thought
Meilag32 Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 I've never seen V for Vandetta so I'll take your word for it everyone has at least one good idea Like M. Night Shyamalan with the 6th sense What?!?!?!??!?! Watch that shit NOW!!! It's on Netflix. If you don't have that, you should be able to rent from any video store for $1 or something. I'll just leave this opening scene here. Watch the whole thing and marvel that the film was made in 2005, not 2016..
Meilag32 Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 Coming up: Episode 13 A Stand Alone Episode: "Unequal Terrorist – NOT EQUAL"
