does anyone know what pumpkin actually tastes like?

I've had pumpkin soup, pumpkin beer & the obligatory pumpkin pie/pumpkin custard pie.

My mom made pumpkin soup for most Halloweens. It was a savory soup with chicken and veggies made inside a pumpkin. Little bits of the meat would be in it too. It was pretty good. 

 

Every year i think about making it in her memory but I'm always exhausted from work and it's a long process i think.
