The1gairon
True. Turns out sandwiching other shows between 2 Dragonball Z shows doesn't exactly work, so putting only one of them at the front of the block is still the tried and true way to kick off the block with a hit. Also I'm glad fans are still "with" the block even after 2 weeks of yet more marathons.

Daos
Spoiler So you think they should go for goblin rape... followed by dual rape.... followed by false rape accusation. OwlChemist81
Goblin Slayer WOULD be an interesting chance to air those Tigtone promos, but I think it's only gonna run for 6 episodes, and like The Shivering Truth, it will be out of premieres by January. As for Toonami, some shows went up and some went down, but Megalobox did cross an interesting threshold for the first time ever: http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-top-150-saturday-cable-originals-network-finals-1-12-2019.html Megalobox cracked 400K for the first time ever in total viewers, but it actually did WORSE in 18-49 than last week, as did Dragon Ball Super and JoJo. Boruto and Mob did better, so it will be interesting to see if this week actually beat last week when all is said and done. Another interesting thing is that Toonami seems to be getting some of its "girl power" mojo back, at least for Dragon Ball Super. That's the highest F12-34 rating, and the closest to P18-34 and M12-34, that I've seen in a while. Call me crazy, but didn't DBS do better in primetime at 10:30 PM than Family Guy at 10? Of course, FG also lost to it last week so this might be just a fluke. Even so, the average for last year's experiment was only 183K in 18-49, so I guess even if this was kind of a bad week for Toonami, it's still a HUGE improvement! Oddly enough, the Dragon Ball Power Hour did MARKEDLY better in Adults 18-49 than last week, but somehow NOT in total viewers or Adults 18-34! I guess that only means one thing: a LOT more people in my demographic were watching the Dragon Ball Power Hour last week compared to 1/5/19, which I guess means the NFL Playoff game was really that boring! Daos
Well that and the only good arc of Super is about to start. Plus we've had MHA/ Megalo/ Mob/ for a few months now. That's probably started winning back a few people. Consistently airing shows that are good will probably have a positive effect on ratings over the long haul. Even the not so good shows like Clover/Ship/Boruto have decent fan bases now.

Daos
That's over 9000???????? No but really people are probably going to start coming to watch this since we're 2 episodes from the start of TOP. It might get back over a million.

Ginguy
I am beginning to suspect that Toonami is really cyclical in terms of ratings; that it peaks in the winter post football, and gets a pop during mid summer repeat season. I don't have the time (or inclination) to really check that theory out, but it seems as though it is sound.
OwlChemist81
It usually gets trashed in the fall by college football, but historically it is a bit stronger in the winter, spring, and summer. So you think best ratings of the year for DBS = Best ratings of the year for the entire block? Daos
The back of the block took an enormous dump. Good thing they're getting rid of that.
OwlChemist81
Yeah, only 2 more weeks left to go of the 6-hour challenge! Ironically, Gundam and Pop Team Epic actually did pretty good after AOT crapped the bed. But I don't believe Gundam IBO is really gone for good. I believe it's most likely to replace AOT on March 2nd. After all, MOB getting that timeslot instead would only make sense if we're NOT getting Season 2 until June. I just can't see that happening. I believe Mob Psycho 100 II replaces MegaloBox. Edited January 30, 2019 by OwlChemist81

Dragon Ball Super blew away the 2nd Family Guy by a large margin in all departments! BTW, that 10:30 episode of FG has been hilariously consistent, as this is the 3rd week in a row it's scored exactly 727K! Hmmm... Meanwhile, for the Dragon Ball Power Hour, we have this: http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-top-150-saturday-cable-originals-network-finals-1-26-2019.html#comment-200972 Adult Swim’s line-up performed as follows: DRAGON BALL at 0.35 and 0.16/489K & 0.16/431K... So it's plain to see that the Power Hour averaged 460K, but we're really not sure which show was which... OwlChemist81
Actually, it won the night in pretty much every category! But that's what it was doing when Toonami took over the whole night too. However, these numbers are much better. It's not a stretch to say that it currently owns the best peak ratings of the entire year! Then again, that year is just a month old...
