Ric Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 It wasn't that long. Guess I'm used to some shows being 2 years between seasons so an extra six months doesn't feel like much. 1 Quote

1pooh4u Posted August 9, 2018 Author Posted August 9, 2018 (edited) The season premiere was pretty good. The intro was pretty long and as usual spent the entire time in the present. I really liked how the episode had very little dialogue and the characters that had a monologue with Jimmy were very annoying. Pretty sure this was by design as each speech was something Jimmy didn’t want to hear in that moment The only long dialogue that wasn’t irritating was Jonathan Banks and Jimmy wasn’t in that scene Good ep overall but if the entire season is paced like this it won’t be as good as last season Edited August 9, 2018 by 1pooh4u Quote
Jman Posted August 14, 2018 Posted August 14, 2018 The way Kim went off on Howard was beyond epic, but you just see Saul Goodman forming despite that. 2 Quote

Mewn Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 Even dead, Chuck is a dick. Leaving that letter Also lol @ that whole figurine heist....dude just had to be there Quote
Raptorpat Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 The letter was undated, so I'ma presume he wrote it before all the "recent" drama, back when he could say all that in person with a straight face and Jimmy would believe it. Quote

Jman Posted August 28, 2018 Posted August 28, 2018 Gunfights! And it looks like the beginning of Jimmy putting his network together. Quote
naraku360 Posted August 28, 2018 Posted August 28, 2018 (edited) I was fluctuating between thinking Kim's bailing on Mesa Verde or trying to build a team of attorneys. I'm going with team networking for now, after some thought - was previously leaning the other direction. I'm sure Mesa Verde will blow up somehow, but I think for Kim to get a crew for Jimmy to exploit as Saul she probably needs something big like a major bank expansion. I think I like BCS more than BrBa and at this point where Jimmy's becoming Saul, Kim's got reason to expand her own business, and Gus is taking over territory, it might even be better without knowing Breaking Bad. Unless they time skip to Gene at the end of the series without showing how he got there, which I hope they don't do seeing as it's a really good standalone show and I'd hope they keep it without BrBa as a prerequisite even if it's clearly tying in much more now. Raptorpat Posted September 5, 2018 Posted September 5, 2018 It feels like they are setting Kim up right now to have to choose between obligation (Mesa Verde) and making a difference (the defense work). Like she is going to realize at some point that it's not worth it and her time and talents are wasted. So to the extent that it "blows up" it might end up being self sabotage, which is totally in line with the series so far. Quote

The only reason I suspected that at all was the potential for the networking. But this episode made it look like she's only caring about Mesa Verde for the same reason Jimmy's trying to be straight with the phone job: because not doing that caused a big problem. She'll definitely bail by the end of the season. Quote
naraku360 Posted September 18, 2018 Posted September 18, 2018 First scene of this week made me sad. Quote

PenguinBoss Posted October 7, 2018 Posted October 7, 2018 We still don't know what's in the letter Chuck left to Jimmy, right? I think he wrote that he slept with Kim while she was an intern. Quote

Raptorpat Posted October 8, 2018 Posted October 8, 2018 I just caught up after being three eps behind all season Man I get anxious because I anticipate bad things happening, and then different bad things happen instead Quote

I wouldn't put money down on it, but it's certainly possible. And I think it would make more sense to have a real confession in that letter as opposed to the corny one we got. Quote
Raptorpat Posted October 8, 2018 Posted October 8, 2018 I kind of think it would be in character for Chuck to let Jimmy think all the corny brother stuff is true, through to his grave. I don't think it was in Chuck's character to air it all out absent snapping. Quote

Raptorpat Posted October 9, 2018 Posted October 9, 2018 Early on in the episode tonight I realized Mike's story was a mirror of when he had to take out Walt for breaking the trust, but then Walt called Jesse who shot Gale. Then after it happened, we got the Gale cameo. Quote
