you know there's this weird thing people have called ambition. i know it's foreign around here but what if, now hear me out here, you can have a job that you like but want to move UP in the corporate ladder? crazy right? you know what the two ways to do that are? bug your current employer or find a new job, guess what people do if the first one fails?

I think if a fucker worked hard enough maybe theyd be promoted. But nah they be "working" from home and taking 2 week long vacations

it's also funny that hard work alone doesn't always get you a promotion. in most cases, businesses want to do this weird brand new thing called a work-life balance where they encourage people to take time off, and give ample time off so they can live life. sometimes the business doesn't have the money, sometimes there just isn't a position open, but whatever the case sometimes there just isn't an avenue available.for those people, there's these magical places called Monster and Indeed where one can try and get something that they believe would better fit their skill level. sometimes that doesn't work because of the other company's needs or a skill set mismatch. as for "working from home" most of the time i am home i do actually work from home, good managers don't hawk over their people

You're doing better than me. I've been applying to social service jobs and I haven't been called in for a face-to-face interview yet.

This is my first interview in awhile. Back before the holidays when I was applying like mad I only had a handful of interviews in my field and a bunch more not in my field.

I'm waiting to find out if I'll get accepted to MSW program right now because I can't get anything with just a bachelor's

I think the interview went pretty well, we'll see if they call me back. It's always hard for me to tell. All the jobs I've had in the past they took my fingerprints at the end of the interview so I kinda knew I was gonna get an offer <_<

Main downside with this one would be the commute. It's not super crazy or anything (only took me about 30 minutes) but would be downtown and on a more traditional schedule so would probably take 45 or more on a bad day. Would be a lot of driving on the job too but they reimburse for mileage. Sounds like it's different enough from my last job, and they have a 6-month "trial employment" period with monthly reviews which would help a lot, my last job I didn't have a real review until like almost a year in.
