Cause I just had lunch with my old youth pastor, and she she spilled all the gossip I was missing and mah gawd, there are people going through way worst. People with worse mental illnesses, 15 years in prison, and other stuff. I was like OH DAMN! :o Suddenly I don't seem like a screw up. Why is church gossip always so juicy and cray.

Girl, I feel this way sometimes just visiting the psychiatrist office, and I see young men my age sitting alone and talking themselves. I talked to this lady that was surprised I was as high functioning as I was. I feel like sometimes people that have these types of issues are just a few mistakes or few unlucky moments from having nothing left in life. So while it is hard, there is something to be said for it could possibly be worse, until it can't get any worse anymore.

Most definitely. I honestly thought, well what I have is manageble and I am currently getting treatment for it. But some peoples lives are completely changed right now. And people who cussed me out before turns out they have borderline personality, so I shouldn't be upset about what they think of me.

Christians are such lovely people.

lol I think everyone goes through insane shit  throughout life. It's a humbling reminder that I'm not the only feel like I'm going through stuff, but I do think I am managing things better than others. >__>

Idk, I did know the people she was talking about growing up. And I didn't know what they were going through, I felt like such a failure, honestly, it helped put me into perspective. Plus I ain't gonna mention names.

Borderline personality people are some of the hardest to deal with. A lot of their symptoms overlap with bipolar disorder but some do not, I have heard it is also harder to treat typically but I don't know why.

Also, you are not a failure, everyone gets along at their own pace Jackie, and some people have more hurdles to overcome than others. That doesn't make them any better or worse than you, it just is what it is and it is either dealt with and overcomes or it is not. This isn't really an area of life where there is a failure or a winning scenario. There is a stable and an unstable scenario. And keep in mind that the illness doesn't define who you are or your self-worth it is just a facet of your life. You are a good person regardless so keep your head up.

That is a way more mature way of looking at things. You do have a lot of understanding how the world should work, versus what people choose. An admirable trait.

I want in on the church gossip so when one if those stuck up old ladies tries to glare at you judgingly for wearing a plunging neckline you can return it because you know Sister Sheila can suck the soul out of a dick

It feels even crazier when it's people you grow up with you know? But also humbling. And it is making me grateful for some things in my life.

For real. I completely understand that. My CATHOLIC friend I grew up with is currently in prison for years on end for selling heroin and using it for months. Crazy shit

I feel like there is no plan in life how things can go, and people we think are doing better, we won't understand unless they directly tell us. Social media is a veil of how we think life is, but not the truth.

Agreed, self righteousness can really blow when they try to throw out you, its good to have ammo for those type of things.

imagine 30 years in the basement

I know some people are stuck, but I think sometimes we need to pull ourselves out of our own heads, and try something new with our lives. I think I learned early on no is going to save us, it has to be ourselves. The first step is believing we can do something to begin with.
