There is a thickness and relative uniformity of the lines that I find disconcerting. Additionally, the shading on the wasp's tail appears odd.

I'm unsure of what type of pencil could make those marks.

well.. ok.. this is how poor teachers are. they send us with a big list of supplies and itll be like "two boxes of #2 pencils, dry eraser markers, 6 sticks of glue" and parents buy whatever and then they come in on openhouse day and dump ALL their stuff together in boxes and then it gets handed back out to the kids throughout the year. So most likely she is using the cheapest #2 pencil some other parent could find.

oh and we got a bunch of free pencils at this back to school function at some church i dont attend.

i bought her an art set for christmas but kids being kids.. she doesnt use the professional art supplies i bought her.. the following picture she drew with supplies from the art kit.

She draws well.

That's a very nice notebook too; I've always preferred that type of binding to those spiral notebooks.

i got the notebook from hobby lobby for $10 but she still rips out pages of line paper out of spiral notebooks. i think i bought it 5 years too soon. she draws like someone twice her age so i kind of forgot shes only 8.

yah she draws great. thanks. dont know where she got it from. her dad and i have zero artistic abilities

Well i have no idea.

A theory ive been working on posits that the uniform line thickness and texture, mixed with the difficulty connecting lines, and the strange shading on the wasps tail lead to the conclusion that it was drawn on top of the picture of the paragraphs by some phone-based drawing app, but i was running this investigation like Mueller.

Didnt want to show my hand until i knew exactly what was up.

Nope, doesnt work that way.

You have two options:

1- they were drawn by different people

2- the animals represent your daughter's actual artistic skill and the drawings of pokemon were done by tracing the outlines from a coloring book or similar media.

How are we going to play this?

dude i dont even think theres pokemon coloring books. and she doesnt color in kid coloring books...we buy her the adult ones.

she drew them from looking at tiny pics in her pokedex

I made it clear that these drawing were fraudulent before, but she needs this to prop up her feebly standing life.

I like how you think you know anything about us.....My kids live with me...They have for years.  They don't bounce between anything because they are always here and I don't need an aunt to help me because the school has deemed me irresponsible.
