stilgar Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 It is obvious it is an assignment for the most brilliant of children scoob. Your inferior intellect just wouldn't get the intricacies of it. 3
SwimModSponges Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 What type of pencil did she use to draw those?

SwimModSponges Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 There is a thickness and relative uniformity of the lines that I find disconcerting. Additionally, the shading on the wasp's tail appears odd. I'm unsure of what type of pencil could make those marks.

I'm unsure of what type of pencil could make those marks. well.. ok.. this is how poor teachers are. they send us with a big list of supplies and itll be like "two boxes of #2 pencils, dry eraser markers, 6 sticks of glue" and parents buy whatever and then they come in on openhouse day and dump ALL their stuff together in boxes and then it gets handed back out to the kids throughout the year. So most likely she is using the cheapest #2 pencil some other parent could find. oh and we got a bunch of free pencils at this back to school function at some church i dont attend. i bought her an art set for christmas but kids being kids.. she doesnt use the professional art supplies i bought her.. the following picture she drew with supplies from the art kit. 1
SwimModSponges Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 She draws well. That's a very nice notebook too; I've always preferred that type of binding to those spiral notebooks.

SwimModSponges Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 Upon further examination i can conclusively say those drawings were not made by the same person. 1

SwimModSponges Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 This was drawn by the same person who drew the other pokemon, not the animals in the op. The difference in styles and ability is striking. 2

fuggnificent Posted February 22, 2018 Author Posted February 22, 2018 she doesnt draw animals often and she doesnt have a picture to look at for the animals...thats why it looks different ??
SwimModSponges Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 The animals were drawn by someone with an inability ro properly close the loop on a circle: contrast the birds head in the first drawing with the pokemons eyes in the second. Two different artists. 1

SwimModSponges Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 Well i have no idea. A theory ive been working on posits that the uniform line thickness and texture, mixed with the difficulty connecting lines, and the strange shading on the wasps tail lead to the conclusion that it was drawn on top of the picture of the paragraphs by some phone-based drawing app, but i was running this investigation like Mueller. Didnt want to show my hand until i knew exactly what was up. 3

SwimModSponges Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 Nope, doesnt work that way. You have two options: 1- they were drawn by different people 2- the animals represent your daughter's actual artistic skill and the drawings of pokemon were done by tracing the outlines from a coloring book or similar media. How are we going to play this? 2 2
SwimModSponges Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 This is serious business. Art is not a game. 1

SwimModSponges Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 Because that would be weird. Why are you tryin' to be weird here, fuggs? What are you hiding? Is it the fact that you drew the animals yourself on a phone app?

I like how you think you know anything about us.....My kids live with me...They have for years. They don't bounce between anything because they are always here and I don't need an aunt to help me because the school has deemed me irresponsible. Edited February 23, 2018 by Noboru Yamaguchi 1
