SlappyKincaid
Nope. It's up there with fried spiders and other bugs and stuff. Culture is great, I can appreciate that it's a food that is part of a different people's cultures, but they also have other food that isn't half-formed baby creature hard-boiled. I've seen a bunch of shows about both that and balut, for some reason the century eggs seem more ... reasonable for me to try, even though I've heard the descriptions of how it smells and stuff. I tried limburger cheese and it does indeed smell like a dirty foot in an unwashed vagina, but it somehow tastes good.

I tried limburger cheese and it does indeed smell like a dirty foot in an unwashed vagina, but it somehow tastes good. I was told horror stories about how disgusting several foods smelled and tasted myself and found them to neither smell NOR taste bad at all for example Natto: how the smell was described to me: " like unwashed ass" actual smell: like coffee but if coffee was something you ate as a solid food rather than a drink and the taste is very neutral and depending on what you add to it is actually nice, the Texture is the most weird part of it and frankly if you've eaten Okra it's totally fine because the texture is the same Durian: how the smell was described: "poopy diapers and rotting onions" actual smell: overripe pineapple with a little hint of onion taste wise they taste like, "Onion Pudding" is the best way to describe it.....I mean it's not GOOD but it's not so bad I'd puke heck even thousand year old eggs (pictured above): how they're described as smelling: like standing over an open seweage treatment plant actual smell: like a hard Boiled egg but way stronger taste is.....bad, they taste like how they smell so imagine the smell of a hardboiled egg in your mouth, not inedible if prepared right though I find "weird foods" are never as bad as (white) people say they are frankly Edited January 22, 2018 by mochi
SlappyKincaid
I tried a durian and it didn't stink at first. It didn't really taste that bad either, the texture was just gross. But it was partially frozen when we got it and didn't know until after it had been opened, and after we had tasted it and the rest of it thawed, thats when it began to get smelly, but even that wasn't like "OH GOD WTF" it was just unpleasant.
