Actually, it hasn't happened since 2014. In 2013 and 2014, Toonami went until 6 AM so something HAD to be cut. It was the 2 AM hour in 2013, but I believe it was the 3 AM hour in 2014. However, in 2015 through this year, Toonami no longer went until 6 AM, so there was no need to cut anything out. Incidentally, Toonami grew by an hour in 2012-2015 and a full 2 hours in 2016 (to air the movie Children Who Chase Lost Voices) when DST ended, but was unchanged in 2017 as the bonus hour was instead given to the Aqua Teen movie, which aired after Toonami. A stupid, archaic practice that has no actual use. The old reason is that it helps farmers, but farmers have little to do in summer, beyond watering the crops. Spring and Fall are the busy times for farmers (planting and harvesting) so DST doesn't benefit them. 1

I knew it had something to do with farming but figured it didn't matter much nowadays given new technology. So it's even more useless than I thought.
