There's no shortage of that at Comic Con and that crowd is mostly in college.

Always use the more dignified term.  "Young" sounds condescending.

So, when you were in HS, you didn't resent being addressed as "young man"?  That's WAY too passive for somebody claims to be of so much achievement.  Might as well call somebody, "little boo"

When you don't want to be perceived as a pompous, condescending shitwad, never refer to or address a teenager as "young" ANYTHING.  It's every bit as insulting and deeply offensive as referring to or addressing a black man as "Boy".

No packard, that's not how this works.

I still get called young man by older colleagues, and I have a bunch of grey ass hair.  I'm just glad someone acknowledges I'm not even 40.

I guess holding a mop and being called young man could seem condescending though.  Personally, I'd just call you "boy"

Your older colleagues are pompous jerks.  But you aspire to that.

Quiet boy, and shine my shoes.

That's not my job.  Go talk to that guy who sells home brewed Fentynil out of his shoe shine box - the one out in front of Family Dollar.
