The first kitty was shelter shocked and needed to figure out her new space. She wanted to hide under the bed but fuggs chased her out because she was having some winner over for an hour. The kitty ended up under the washer in the kitchen and wouldn't come out and cuddle, do tricks, and bath fuggs in unconditional affection for rescuing her. So fuggs ran out and got a kitten while still having the shelter-shock kitty hiding and scared. Thankfully the first cat didn't take her stress out on the kitten because that could have easily happened. Fuggs supposedly eventually gave the first cat away to someone that she can't even remember because she didn't even appear to know them. I personally think she just kicked the poor thing out in the street thinking it's just a cat and can survive on her own [forget that it was cowering the entire time it lived with her] . The kitten ended up finding a hole in the floor in the kitchen that it went through and got lost. Fuggs was in the middle of moving out and couldn't be bothered to look for the kitten she supposedly loved, choosing to post on the boards about it and how she was moving and putting no solid efforts into actually looking for the kitten. In the end, I'm glad the kitten was found and returned to the shelter because she wasn't going to have a solid happy kitty-life with fuggs at that time.

Normally I don't keep deliberate track of specific things like this because that's a level of creepy but I rarely forget a kitty story and especially not one where I spent a lot of time trying to walk an idiot through socializing a shocked kitty so the kitty could have an actual home life.

There were several us trying to walk her through the socialization process.  In particular, she seemed to have a hard time understanding some of the basic "tells" that cats exhibit for particular behavior.  She was completely overwhelmed by it.

She thinks a cat "slow blinking" means it's mad.

Not hissing and running away or scratching. No, the thing a purring cat does when you pet it. That's what constitutes as mad.

That's not a conventional trait of a mad cat. It's a conventional trait of a happy cat.

A cat wagging its tail, clawing walls or carpets (aggressively tearing at, not kneading), or showing their claws/teeth  with an arched back are basic guidelines to tell if a cat is upset.

When he slow blinks, holds his eyes closed and whips his tail hes pissed and trying not to kill you.

No, the 'slow blink' is one of 2 things, neither are anger.

1. The cat equivalent to a smile

2. Trying to sleep

If it's mad, the eyes open wide.

Yah i guess if your cat hates you he'll hiss at you. I lived with a huge male tom..very big and strong..he could have really hurt me if he wanted but he had a lot of patience with me and when i got on his nerves he would woosaw and do the slow blink and wag his tail lol. He was a very passive aggressive kitty..would never lash out or show real aggression. When hed go overboard hed just knock everything off the dresser.

If you know what happened why go around posting that i poison animals and other dumb shit like that? I didnt mistreat any animals..one was ill acclimated and another was too busy and got lost. They werent hurt kitties. And i got 5 kitties at the shouse rite meow.

I seriously doubt that the thought going through your head when you found a slug was 'this slug is a perfect protein treat for a pet turtle because it's something that they would eat in the wild.'

Pretty sure your thought was 'Eww, this is gross. Let's see if the turtle will eat it'.

You do know cats aren't human, right.....Just because people do that when you're around doesn't mean cats do it for the same reason.......It would be like comparing you to a baboon and assuming you present your huge, swollen ass when...................................... ohno

Oh my god, you do don't you

Cats don't really do passive-aggression. They telegraph most emotions, especially negative ones, and intentionally so. If it's scared, it will either run away or get into a threatening stance to show it's going to attack if the thing it's afraid of keeps pushing boundaries. If it's mad enough, it'll hiss or attack. If it's irritated, it'll wag its tail or claw at a carpet. If it's happy, it'll rub its face against things and purr. Blinking slowly usually comes from being pet on the head, happiness, or being tired.

Like, it's not always that simple, but there's a pretty standard baseline to interpret cat moods by.  My cat will follow me around and rub against me while purring, except when I pet her (even if she keeps purring  and pushing her against me) she'll start wagging her tail because she gets easily agitated from touch. So, the positive attention outweighs the inherent irritation even though there's a visible cue coming from her reaction to touch.

I guess it depends on the kitty. This kitty i actually watched be born and cared for him everyday of his life so he saw me as a second mom. People would report his bad behaivor to me but he was only bad in ways so that i would never see it and never know. Remember i said he was a big cat? He was also an alpha. My dad got a cat and i moved in my dad kept saying my cat was beating up his cat. Naraku...i NEVER saw one bit of aggression from bandit towards buttons...not ever! Bandit would wait until i wasnt around then i guess bit and fight him. I only know this because he even bruised him. Eventually my dad had to give buttons away. But no matter how much bandit must have hated buttons bandit would do no wrong around me. So i guess normal kitty behaivor might have been surpressed to keep himself out of trouble.

Or you just ignored the obvious because that would force you to take responsibility.....Much like you do with every other live thing that's ever required your care.

How the fuck is every single thread Fuggs posts or posts in devolving into her mistreating cats?

.... like every single one.

I missed whatever thread you guys are referring to btw.

This happens. One topic gets dragged into several threads all going at once and then those float away and something else catches everyone's attention. The topic du jour just happened to be how fuggs treats animals. It'll turn to something else soon enough.

The initial thread in which all of this went down in was in Babbling years ago before she moved back in with her mom. Actually like three threads of trying to get her to understand her new cat and the soap opera that she turned that into.

So why is it suddenly occurring now? I mean the threads turning into cat mistreatment bonanzas.

It isn't "just occurring."  You'll notice that in just about every thread someone reminds her that she's a "cat killer" or something to that effect.  Most times it just gets ignore; this time, a bunch of people that weren't there finally took notice of it.
