The middles both of my thumbs are really red and sore

See this is the problem with Sony's d-pad. Yeah I've been playing the heck out of the Crash N-Sane Trilogy, and of course I'm going to use the d-pad. My first PlayStation came with the controllers that didn't have dualshock or analog sticks, and even when my mom got me analog controllers later on, I never quite felt comfortable using my little paws on the rubber thumbsticks, not until I was forced to when the PS2 came around.

Anyway, I'm sure as hell not using the analog sticks to play a hard platformer like Crash Bandicoot, even if I did feel comfortable with them. So here I am all weekend long getting platinum and gold relics in the time trials, spending an hour on some stages because they're friggin hard to complete within the gold standard time limits, and now the middles of my thumbs are all red and sore. I never had this problem in the past because, first of all, I haven't played a game with a PS d-pad exclusively over a weekend in a long time, and my thumbs were smaller then, so it didn't hurt as much.

If I get arthritis off of this s---, I'm gonna sue Sony and get a million dollar settlement, so that I don't have to work ever again, yeah screw my teaching assistant gig, and then I'm just gonna drink, play video games, EAT AMAZING FOOD, talking like FIVE STAR QUALITY food, and watch TV every day. Can arthritis be cured though? Because I want the settlement without any permanent damage, because that'd be BS if that happened to me. But yes, I wanna get paid. Video games shouldn't hurt to play.

It's not arthritis, it's blisters, you tiny moron. Go ahead and sue - you may win a box of band-aids.

Thank you for your medical opinion, Dr. mthor. Even if they are blisters though, this isn't supposed to happen when you play video games. They're in so much trouble, they just don't know it yet. Maybe I'll bring a class action suit against them and get myself some national TV appearances!  :post:

It's also called an overuse injury, kind of like when my husband gets laryngitis. Have fun in court, but if they offer the band-aids, I'd grab them and run. (Maybe they'll give you some with Sonic on them.)

If by band-aids, you mean wads of cash $$$ to heal the wounds that they've inflicted upon me with their primitive directional pads, then yes, I'll have to grab them and run. It's a shame that such a widely respected corporation couldn't find the empathy for its customers to make the d-pads out of softer, less harmful materials. I'll have to expose its leaders as the parsimonious, egocentric losers that they are!!! YEAH!!!! YEAH!!!! PAY ME, B--CHES!!!! I'VE BEEN WRONGED!!!! *shows the jury his arthritic thumbs*
