  1. Probably just my shit taste, but I didn't like demon slayer, PA, or Mob. Really the only reason I slugged through Mob was because I liked OPM. Oddly most people seem to like mob over opm by a large margin when the show is discussed. OPM for me just had more going for it. Better art style and the world feels far more lived in and developed.
  2. Speaking of blood type mine is O- universal donor. Which means I get called all the time at all hours of the day to donate blood. I even got a call once while I was donating blood.
  3. Just made me think of how angel beats had that message in it about being a donor. Feels like the kinda message that CAW would have. At least to make it somewhat less depressing and not have every character you spend a season watching die. Could also tie season 2 and Code Black together if season 2 is the host for a transfusion or transplant. It does make me wonder though do cells just go right to work the moment they are put into a new body. I know at times they can be treated as a foreign harmful body and are targeted. Could possibly be shown through one of the platelets being bullied. Though mainly just wondering if there is a time frame that it takes for a new cell to figure things out. Does it like absorb hormones etc from the new host that give it information on the body, is there a short period where it isn't really doing it's job and just acclimating to the new host kinda deal? I do know a good bit about biology but I don't really know a lot about transplanted cells aside from them needing to be the same blood type or O.
  4. There's Giant Wasps Man! Who wouldn't panic and lose sense of reason at a time like this! There is no overreaction only action in times like this, nukes are the best option, the deaths and fallout will be worth it in the long run. We can only hope that the neuclear winter from the fallout will kill them off rather than mutate them into Zombees that will infect people with a honeycombvid 19 virus turning them into zombies. I swear to fucking Christ syfy if you steal this idea like you did when me and my friend though of sharknado. Sure it was slightly different, but the plot of sharks being sucked into a tornado from the ocean was the same and mine was better because a dinosaur shows up at the end and attacks the survivors just when they think it's safe. Why was there a dino? It gets explained in the squeal, duh. You have to have that squeal bait to try and force the studio into giving you more money. I also had a line of killer bee films planned that involved terrorists and a guy who may or may not be the real Elvis. Though then Bubba Hotept stole that idea of the real/fake Elvis. Also one of the squeals was going to be Zombees. After Killer Bees vs Giant Hornets. Which was going to have a cross over of a fire ant which is radio active from a previous film that survived the terrorists dirty bomb is munching on a dead killer bee, which brings it back to life as a zombee. I'm not saying that syfy should pay me a lot but they should pay me something for those gems. Though still we should take this serious as the chart shows here Seriously though, nope still pretty much the same. Two of the nurses I know even caught covid. One is my dads GFs son he was working at a hospital up in NY. He said he felt like shit, and it wasn't great to have but marked it as being like having a flu, but said that while it was bad he had felt worse catching other things in the past like swine flu, or when he caught west nile years back, but would put it in a top 5 of sucks to have caught. Also he's 31 and skinny build with no pre-existing health problems. covid is far worse to the elderly and people with lung and heart/immune issues, though that can be said with every flu so people should really be mindful of that every flu season, and not just when they're selfishly panicking about their own personal safety. The other was a girl who did say it was far worse for her anyway. She smokes and is more on the overweight side which may explain that. I still think though we'll be looking at a fall vaccine release. Like I said back in march, we'll have a spike in cases when the lockdown is lifted. The governors have kind of fabricated their own problems though in why there is going to be a worse spike than I thought there would be back in march. That's because they're labeling counties by cases and ones in the red zone will still be under full lockdown. The issue is if one county over isn't in lockdown and a handful of counties surrounding it are in lockdown. Guess what is going to happen friday night when all the bored people who haven't been able to go to a bar or out for a night for 2 months are going to do? Here is a visual aid imagine the one on the couch being the county that has reopened while the others are in lockdown. So it's going to get worse before it gets better, at least in reported cases and hopefully the hospitals accounted for stupid when stocking supplies. As for deaths its still pretty low considering in march everyone was telling me 3 million people would be dead by now worldwide. Lots of hype and panic. The only thing worse I have to hear is boomers crying about the economy, because now their money is at risk because young people working is how their SSI works. I guess what annoys me the most is just the selfish nature of a lot of the panic. If covid19 weren't sensationalized by the media then an overwhelming number of people would have given no fucks and just treated it like another flu season. They're only panicing because their self preservation kicked in and they began to question their mortality. Welcome to me catching the normal flu when I was 5, and being hospitalized for it because having bad lungs sucks, and every flu season is like covid 19 seasons for people with compromised health 2-4x a year. Then the Boomers who were saying fuck it and rolled the dice are now only caring because their govt checks are at risk and they're worried about what will happen to them. Welcome to the life of the average millennial that is in debt, waiting for unemployment checks, and not knowing if they'll ever see SSI. Then there are the retards who want the quarantine to last till we have a vaccine. No it was to be till hospitals were supplied, I don't know why so many people thought it was stay home till it's fixed kinda thing. If everyone did the bare minimum and just isolated for a month or two we wouldn't need a vaccine. It didn't happen. Everyone went out for walks, hunt out with their friends, went shopping, hung out in stores, went to the park, went biking and on runs to post their route they took on facebook, used food services having people go to multiple homes increasing the chance of a spread. Then if we even get the vaccine, there are 45% of american who don't believe that they even work and will refuse to get them because they don't want autism. Sure on paper "I injected myself with a weakened virus, and you have to do it to or else mine won't work", sounds like something a crazy person might say. Though there is enough science to back it up that it's just how it works.
  5. Bet that it will end with some of the cells being saved because the person who died was a donor and they'll get another chance.
  6. Peel's films I haven't been a fan of. First film was black guy dates a white girl, but she tricked him because it's really the skeleton key; and rich white people are going to have a slave auction to put their souls into black bodies because Black people have superior genes and are more accepted in society??? Feels like there was a sort of disconnect with reality somewhere along the way on that one, or it was meant to satire rich old white people who thinks that blacks have it better than they do. I assume it is the latter of the two, but the film doesn't really present it that way. The next movie had "pale white faced monsters" trying to take over the lives of a black family with an actual twist at the end. Though the theme just seems to be white people want to be black and black people are scared of racial appropriation. So now there's a series based on lovecraft. Who was an outspoken racist that did not like black people at all. I wonder what Peel will do with a world like that with an all black protagonist cast, and an island of odd white people acting mysterious and spooky with pale monsters. No subtext there, or judging from the past films I can take a wild guess. White people are evil and have something to do with the monsters. Might have been a spoiler. It would be one thing if he wants to have black protagonists in his films. Though everything he has his hands on has been the same plot devices. It's actually what I'm worried about that he's supposed to be working on the new Twilight Zone. It's going to kill that series if he tires to just running theme every episode as white people try and do another horrible thing to black people the series. It would also be one thing if it were scary. Though his main focus is the subtext of the message than actually providing any real horror or suspense. He really lets the message weigh down any chance of things being entertaining.
  7. Eye have know clue what U wood bee referring two. Maybe save the grammar nazi for my posts that aren't oozing with satire because I was laying it on pretty thick.
  8. Just wait, soon you'll have to wear a mask out everywhere you go, silly as it sounds.
  9. Heard season 2 is going to take place in someone who is terminally ill. So the season is just going to be bleak and depressing look at the cells trying their hardest but not being good enough. Seems something like the setting of Majora's Mask or scenes from Titanic while it was sinking.
  10. From what I hear the guy is kinda a dick in nerd communities. One of those gatekeeper types that dictates what the fandom should be. Then he bashed AVGN for not wanting to see the 2016 Ghostbusters movie. He also bashed fans for complaining about Sonic looking bad in CGI and it getting fixed. Funny that he bashed them for that. Though will take an easy jab at cats for not listening to fans and keeping their fever dream true to the directors original vision. The other thing was him fighting with people who said that the new starwars films weren't good, or that they weren't going to see anymore of them because the 3 that they watched that were out at the time weren't good.
  11. I remember back when Cartoon Network called it Japanimation.
  12. And it comes full circle. The real threat I had been waiting for has come like the wrath of god. Biding their time waiting for when people would forget about them, and focus on minor things like a world wild pandemic. Killer fucking Bees Hornets! Better pick up that phone because I called. Some may say HH, You've said that for years and they're an entirely different species. Your not an entomologist (bug expert); and I'm pretty sure you're story about bees was to show how the media fear-mongers the general public. To that I have to say; Yes I was right wasn't I.
  13. I guess the closest I had to that was at a party. Party was for my friends gf and some of her friends that finished college and were moving away. On average the people at the party were only 1-2 years younger than me. I get asked to put on some "classic hits" for a drinking game. I go and put on to me what I'd consider classic being a 70s 80s mix on youtube. This room of hipsters had literal confusion as if I just put Mozart on. They're like "no classic music!". So I put on a 90s list. My friend tells me they mean later 2000s and early 2010s music. I said "wtf that isn't classic music". Lady Gaga's paparazzi comes on, and someone says "Oh shit....Yeah! I remember this song!". The fuck do you mean you remember this song? Lady Gaga should not have the reaction of "OMG does anybody else remember this song". Once again I was born in 1989, my friend was born in late 86. Everyone at this party would have been 1990-1992. Some 2000s throwback songs I can give a pass to for nostalgia. I'm Blue, Who let the dogs out, Wasn't me, Barbie Girl, Because I got High etc. Late 90s early 00s one hit wonders that were everywhere for a hot minute and never get played anymore. Lady Gaga's songs that may have been 8 years old at that point and were big enough that they're still played on the raido regularly. That isn't what I'd consider a "classic" or a "holy shit I remember this song" moment. I guess being able to remember back a few years has become a rarer skillset. Though yeah people do act like 5 years things change so much. The reality is that they don't. Most of the shit-heads I knew in high school are still shit-heads 13 years later.
  14. I think this movie really formed a lot of my sense of humor as a child. Also something that they didn't bring up in that video. Is that the part where the one dwarf stunt man is busting through the glass on the doors. The last take they did he actually cut himself really bad and almost died. The fake glass cut his wrist hit an artery and he had to get rushed to the hospital.
  15. Also we have to think that the novel for this series started in 2002, and Kirito got trapped when he was 14. Motherfucker would be lucky to know how to use ask Jeeves in 2002. To be fair though the story does take place in the distant future year of 2022 despite being written in 2002.
  16. My brothers girlfriends kid broke his leg over the summer on a trampoline. Worst that ever happened to me on was was rolling my ankle. My moms cousin though was a real depressing story. At a party he was going to jump off of a house onto the trampoline and into the pool, as you do. Hit the trampoline didn't get enough distance and slammed down on the edge of the pool. Broke his spine was a quadriplegic but was eventually able to regain some movement in one hand. Used to beg people to end his life, and ended up despising everyone for not letting him die or killing him. He did die like a decade ago though after being stuck to a chair or bed for over 15 years. Either way that's why I never had a trampoline growing up.
  17. Which one was that, the malaria+z pack meds or injecting bleach into your brain?
  18. Kirito fights Heathcliff and gets absorbed into his guild. That is what I'm referring to when Heathcliff cheated. Not the battle him and Asuna had against Heathcliff. Being a beta tester didn't really give him much of a bonus. Everyone claimed it did at the start, but it just let him know what monsters, items, and bosses were on the first 10 floors. After that he didn't know anything more than any other player. The point is in SAO in the anime we don't see anything. It's a visual medium you show don't allude. Show all the big boss fights, don't have them be passing conversation. Show him actually training don't just have him curb stomp other people who are also grinding, but leave it up to the viewer to decide that Kirito must have grinded more. The problem in the gun game is that Kirito wasn't just able to fend off and barely be able to survive as he was using a default blade weapon that wasn't even rare. Though he was able to just curb stomp other people using guns in a game that gives people with guns an advantage. Kirito should have been full stealth, charlie's in the trees rambo knife mode through that. Not Star Wars episode II deflecting bullets with his lightsaber running down the battle field in the open. Also to top it off he got an ultra rare valuable avatar for no real reason. He's very stu like that. How is him fighting Jesus any different than him fighting Saint Nicolas in being over the top? Was it having to find the Easter eggs to unlock the boss battle? It's not creepy it's just tone deaf to the seriousness it's trying to convey and it translates into comedy. In your mind what is a sue/stu? Because it's fairly well accepted that Kirito is a stu self insert protagonist. A character freezing up or failing doesn't meant that they aren't a sue/stu. In fact that is what became known as a Gen II sue/stu. A character that "can't" be a sue/stu because they have some sort of flaw or fail. The series is just wish fulfillment self inserts. Your ability to like a character is based on how well you insert yourself onto them. Kirito has all kinda of abilities, a dozen or so girls that want to jump his dick, can go into multiple fantasy video game worlds, is on call with a secret govt organization, Has a big titty cousin/sister that wants his Dick in a country where that kinda thing is legal, Has a wife that overlooks all the girls that are after him, beat an assassin guild, beat up a real life stalker assassin, is top level player in every game we've seen him in. Though he freezes up sometimes and he needed help from an NPC to beat someone with the literal powers of God, and he gets sad sometimes so he can't be a stu. I don't know if you have noticed the problem there. It's pretty much a power fantasy wetdream for an angsty teen. The comedy comes from how it takes itself serious. There are acceptable levels of being a sue/stu. Every character has to have some of them to be at all competent or likable. Kirito though hits every box possible.
  19. Makes me think of mayor McCheese
  20. The new sprites look really bad compared to the old ones. They need either to have some sort of dynamic shading or something added. Without shadows they just look like they're paper cutouts on a comic strip. The pixel ones always had some dark shading so they didn't look out of place when the lighting changed.
  21. Freaked 1993 I actually thought this movie was amazing when I was little. Now I just like it in how fucking bizarre it was. I was like 5 years old when I first saw this, and I don't know how I saw it as many times as I did, because apparently it's hard as hell to find. It had a budget of 13 million and only made $29k. Unlike Freddy got Fingered which is a film that I think was ahead of it's time in humor. This film is just weird no matter what time you're in. The humor is just absurdist. Like one character played by Bobcat Goldthwait is a guy with a sock puppet for a head. Though during one of his acts his sock falls off and we find out the truth. That he has a hand for a head, and the audience just boos him off the stage and feel cheated. Like having a hand for a head isn't impressive but a sock is. The makeup and puppet fx are also great. Everyone seems to be giving it their all. Randy Quaid who plays the ring master especially goes full over the top in his performance. What really surprised me was that not many people knew about this movie, and those who did said it sucked.
  22. So far it's worked in the monkeys they tested. They injected 500 people with it and 500 with a placebo, so we should find out within the next month if it worked. If it does work I'll have to find a good I was right dance gif. Not only of the time frame, but of how it would be an RNA genetic manipulation type as they inserted covid19 RNA into a dormant rhinovirus. Not an expert but damn do I have educated guesses based on past events.
  23. The characters hit just about every sue/stu checkbox there is. You can even run a checklist down tv tropes and they'll hit most of them. In the case of Yuuki she hits nearly every box. Kirito ends up being one in the anime more due to plot omission. Especially in season 1 when he's just shown sleeping in fields, then being able to tank 6 people at once because he can heal faster than they can damage him. That is very sue/stu levels. Not to mention he was going to just beat the endgame, but only lost because Heathcliff the creator of the game cheated. They even had to make it clear at the end that he cheated, that that "Oh Kirito you're the best player ever uwu, I couldn't afford for my plan to fail at that point because you're so fucking cool and amazing uwu". Then lets go into the Gun game. Oh swords those are meme weapons, nobody can actually main a sword. "omg kirito your now the best player in the game and you only just learned about mounts uwu". The only one where he didn't act like a complete stu was when he was praising the sue and saying she'd have been more of a sue than he could ever stu, then she dies. The characters aren't really there for their depth, they're meant to be inserts for edgy teens wanting everyone to like them. The fact that it was a santa event dealing with a heavy subject and stakes like that is what made it comical. We could have had an easter egg hunt, and MMO Boss Jesus would climb off his cross and beat Kirito with it, with the stakes being life or death. None of it being portrayed for laughs. Kirito stabs Jesus to death and gains his resurrection. It would still be funny due to how tone deafly absurd its being. I mean fucking look at this. It's like the damn attack on titan cover, but festive. I think it goes without saying that the LNs are better. Though it's within context of fleshing out the characters and actually having things make sense. Like when Liz had her big ted talk about how poorly they're treated irl since they escaped SAO. That would have been interesting to actually develop. A lot of their IRL stuff would really help make sense of things. Like it just seemed really stupid at first that after spending years in a virtual hunger games. That they would instantly dive back into another game. It helps buy that when you realize that their real lives actually kinda suck and they're treated like living test subjects by their govt, and people distance themselves form them. Though what we get is Liz giving a deep speech, to Asuna having a gurlz slumber party with some npc gushing about how they love their potato. That's all just tone deaf story telling and it makes these serious moments comical. As for Eugo I've only ever seen him as an NPC in this. He had no defining character traits to me other than being a weaker blonde kirito that isn't as skilled.
