I think he is being way to harsh on the eva dub. I actually liked the dub, and for the 90s it's one of the best of the decade. As I'm rewatching outlaw star I can say that the eva dub is far better than some of the stuff that they tried to fit in outlaw star. The damn bird aliens talk like Foghorn Leghorn! Not to mention Tenchi where a lot of the cast is pretty bad, especially Tenchi who sounds like Kermit the frog. I'll agree with the 3.33 film, it just wasn't a good follow up or stand alone film. For the most part the guy seems pretty weird who is reviewing. He seems too easily bothered by suggestive and gory imagery, and doesn't seem to have the focus for plot heavy shows. Super cringe levels of autism on some of his gripes as why not to ever watch something. He seems like the kinda guy who probably watches a lot of moe blob and moe lesbian shows, as none of those types of shows really made his list.

Yeah the OP is great, I watch it every episode. I also like the ED a lot, just a huge contrast to the rest of the show.

It's alluded to, and confirmed in the manga that he had sex with Hilda at least. I think the manga did a better job of showing that he was actually affected by her death. The anime seemed to try and blow through Hilda's arc to get the plot moving. Still like you said it is a coming of age story of sorts. A more interesting take on one since Gene is 20. In anime 20 year olds are usually seasoned in all walks of life and full of advice, rather than the reality of most 20 year olds that still don't know how to balance their bills or make a meal.

Rewatching Outlaw Star since it's been at least 15 years since I last watched making me 12 at the time, and I have forgotten anything that didn't involve big brown cat tits. So far I have gotten through the Race Episode. More things come back as I seem them, but I didn't remember the series having such huge quality shifts that it does. Also loads of seizure light moments. Gene is also a bit more of a piss ant than I remember, maybe I just thought he was cooler because I was little. Jim is outright gay for Gene at times in the early eps which I didn't remember at all. There was a moment with Jim and Hilda where they were talking and he hated her, but then she told him something and they acted like BFF. I can only assume she was telling him what Gene's dick tasted like, but the conversation is never brought up again. I think they just needed an off camera reason for him not to hate her, but couldn't think of one. Also the anime does a lot more 70s/80s homages that I never noticed as a kid. Some of the interactions are a little redundant and blocky (watching the dub by the way). Other times it has the more fluid progression that I remember. The Tao group are still as weird as I remember them. The little girl one that burns up in the sun used to freak me out as a kid since she reminded me of a doll. Still seams weird that the Asia's people stranded her over that minor thing happening. It might have been more understandable if she broke protocol, but she didn't. Not to mention she caught the other group. It would be like if a police officer were fired because he caught eight men, but last one got away. Not only fired but they drive him out to the middle of Detroit and leave him there. Suzuka seemed to give up a little too easy, and had Gene pull some Gary Stu stuff. I think people were more forgiving of those things in the 90s than they are now. Suzuka probably has the most quality change out of anyone, it ranges from human girl to the damn moon man.

Like the idea of a new film, hate that all the footage is from past films.

I don't believe that there is an ability that can give someone exclusive rights like that in their own thread. I know that users can be given rights in a folder, but that would cover all the threads in a folder not just the ones that they have made. Either way just saying if it were possible I could see it being misused and causing more issues than it would solve between users.

If you take a bean and distill it enough to extract the caffeine crystals. Then the lighter roast will have more as the darker roast will have broken down some of it's caffeine in the roasting process. A darker roast bean will almost always be lighter than a light roast bean because a light roast bean will have more moisture in it.

The same volume of dark coffee will have less caffeine than a lighter roast. However lighter roasts are more acidic and the extra caffeine isn't much more on average.

First couple years of me being on asmb I remember doing some semi-dickish things. I remember CAC and I were banned for posting images of anime girls covered in Ice Cream. That was back when you would get banned for "spam posting" even if you weren't. My more asshole moves though were when I would drunk post, which was often back then.

Pretty much anything good made it's way over to kids WB. It's odd to think that there was a time when Kids WB was a large part of the WB block. They even had an afternoon block on weekdays that ended before toonami started. Fox kids early years were pretty good though. I remember the tales from the crypt game show, x-men, power rangers, batman tas, Taz-Mania, Beetle-borgs, Life with Louie, Bobby's world, Tiny Toons, Spider-Man, Goosebumps, Eerie Indiana. However anything good either ended or was being bought by WB. I remember at the end of Fox kids life the only shows it had were Digimon, horrible cgi Transformers Beast Machines, Angela Anaconda, Evolution, Sonic X, Ripping Friends, and some Power Rangers knock off. Out of those the only ones that I think were being watched were Digimon and Sonic X. I also remember while not part of the fox kids block that at 5:30am they would show Sailor Moon. This was back when Pokemon was first shown on fox as well and they would show the little transitions like Pikachu on a pokeball or Team Rocket's Meowth blimp and saying "We'll be right back". What I wouldn't give for a dvr back then, since our VHS sucked and didn't record stuff good.
