So ill just deposit this tidbit here from working with hospice patients. You can fill out a body donation agreement while you're still alive. Its actually a pretty good deal. They come remove your remains, do their research, cremate you and mail you back in like 18 months for free... or if nobody wants your ashes they store them in a little memorial place offsite. You can't really delegate that they use your brain specifically for research ... the MERI I went to used a lot of the bodies for testing hip and joint replacements and letting surgeons practice on actual flesh. You can give special consent to have your body used in forensic, firefighting, and trauma training. Then they send your family a nice little report about what projects your body was used for. Most likely though, they'll dismember you and spread you where you're needed.
