  1. I thought it was pretty funny. Kinda a Metalocalypse vibe from the dialogue.
  2. Looks like they’ll just finish out MHA season 6 doubled up. At this point they might as well hold off Titan one more week rather than air it on the 15th and go back to MHA for one last week on the 22nd. Primal season 2 rerun is meh but I don’t care what airs at 2:30am especially if the only affordable option is reruns.
  3. Those allegations were dropped and I hope he's not as much of a creep as was theorized but regardless his behavior at work was reason enough for dismissal. But admittedly it's a more complicated issue now that those allegations are dropped.
  4. Fifth Plate might very well be the reason Toonami was up across the board this week unless there was suddenly less sports or other things. Even so it amuses me that One Piece beat it. Food Wars will probably do better in the weeks to come, at least I hope so.
  5. Oh my bad, I skipped March 24th and jumped to April 1st. You are correct.
  6. You’re off by 2. 18 and 19 air on April 1st/2nd There’s 10 episodes left currently and 8 after this Saturday. Something I’ve noticed. The hour blocks of MHA have all had a particular focus. Each episode continues the story obviously but I mean those particular back to back episodes usually dealt with the same situation. 3/4 - The fight turns around 3/11 - Dealing with the aftermath 3/18 - Todoroki family drama and Hawks’ connection to Endeavor And since I’ve looked ahead it also seems like the upcoming episodes that air back to back are also mainly focused on particular situations. I’ll keep it vague but still use a spoiler block. Now I don’t think they were necessarily intentionally doing this but it’s rather interesting to me how it worked out that way. If they had doubled up MHA a week before or a week later then the two episodes airing each week would be a lot less connected.
  7. This is the current projection if they keep MHA doubled up till it ends and don’t take a week off for Titan before MHA ends. EDIT: Why the hell does copying something from notepad screw up the formatting on this board? Ugh… Just highlight it to read it I guess. Now 130 / 135 5 eps April 1st 131-132 / 136 4 eps April 8th 133-134 / 137 3 eps April 15th 135-136 / 138 2 eps April 22nd 137-138 But I think it will go something like this if FLCL Grunge isn’t ready before May. April 1st 131-132/136 4 eps April 8th Titan / 137 5 eps April 15th 133-134 / 138 4 eps April 22nd 135-136 / 138 2 eps April 29th 137-138
  8. Still annoys me to this day that Sentai only released The Big O but I suppose if it was only gonna be one, it was the right one. Thankfully, Discotek is getting around to picking up some of those.
  9. Same. It was a perfectly acceptable ending where they achieved their goals and brought down the bad foodie organization. While it’s interesting to see what our heroes do as the new elite, it wasn’t vital in the least.
  10. An arms dealer that mostly keeps their weapons to themselves… Interesting statistics in that article. I’m a bit surprised that CR is seeing so much growth with 13-17 when they have kneecapped their free options. I would think that would drive more teens to piracy.
  11. My only guess is people don’t stick around to the end of the credits to see the bump that says MHA is on next. There is no other on air notice after all.
  12. I finally watched Demon Slayer’s 2nd season. I still haven’t watched Mob season 2 or much of Jujutsu Kaisen. I’ll get around to them eventually. Spy x Family was excellent and I’m glad I didn’t wait to start it. I tend to have the patience for watching MHA on Toonami and am currently holding off on watching the AoT special but I might not be patient with Dr. Stone or anything else.
  13. Surprised that took even this long to finalize but I guess there was probably a bidding war. Glad it's going to be released though.
  14. Are you comparing the promo post or the schedule announcement post? Gotta figure a video will get more interest than a static image of a schedule. And regardless there’s nothing all that exciting about Food Wars returning. The most exciting thing about that is it could be a sign of CR being reasonable but that’s only something people like us would even think about.
  15. Titan is 60 mins of episode without commercials. It needs 3 slots. But they probably will take MHA off that week for Titan and maybe bump Food Wars if it’s not on March 25th.
  16. Well I wasn’t expecting MHA to stay doubled up for a 3rd week and I had all but written off Fifth Plate so… that’s something. Something that might indicate a modicum of working with CR because I don’t believe Sentai has the master license for Fifth Plate.
  17. 39 followers? I didn’t think it was even that much. And they like their own tweets which is just sad.
  18. Was expecting this at this point. It’s not technically a change from March 4th so there was no need to make a Facebook post for it but they also hid the schedule on grids till now which left us entirely in the dark. Double One Piece and double MHA means 2 hours I’m gonna watch. They are most likely holding off on starting anything until they can air the Attack on Titan 60 min special which will fill 3 time slots for one week.
  19. We all know it’s you Mitty, you’re just way more civil here. But I wish that person on twitter isn’t you because that person is a transphobe who doesn’t support Ukraine and thinks guys are cucks if they marry a woman with kids. Probably a neo-nazi or MAGA trash.
  20. It totally would have been Yatsura and Witch from Mercury if they had their druthers. I’ve been saying as much since the beginning of the year. New series from classic franchises is their MO. I’m still bummed they weren’t able to get the 2014 Yamato series a while back. That said I don’t recall DeMarco actually saying anything about Urusei Yatsura. All that activity for the crossover trailer goes to show what an actual premiere can garner, maybe it should have been at 12:30 rather than blowing an MHA. But of course a lot of that interest is from DBZ fans. Goku is here to save the block for one week. Yeah putting all the eggs in one expensive basket isn’t a great idea but they know better than anyone that the first show has to bring in a audience and the only sensible gambles for that slot are hugely popular acquisitions or an actual premiere. Bleach is the former and the originals are the latter. Dub premieres that aren’t originals are out of reach baring very unique circumstances. Though if One Piece beating MHA happens a few more times then maybe it can be the front runner. 🤔 I’d rather they have two reruns than lose the 3rd hour. Hell they could give 2:30 to Venture Bros and I would finally have Toonami style Venture Bros bumps. Though I would prefer IGPX to that. They have all of Attack on Titan, so they could use that and GITS hasn’t been on since 2018. They can probably rerun Lupin Part 6 still. But before they consider a 2nd rerun, I do hope they double up One Piece permanently.
  21. They haven't had an affinity for everything they've aired but the ones they didn't have an affinity for were more than likely very popular or very buzz worthy when they went after them. They basically can't get buzz worthy shows now with a few exceptions here and there. They do watch modern anime (mostly ones they can never air because they're licensed or produced by Netflix) but they most likely don't have a good grasp on what lesser known anime are available to license. There's like 120 shows in production in Japan every year and there's no way they've looked into even 25% of that any given year. They're not getting paid to review anime, hell they're not getting paid specifically to AIR anime it's just a small part of their jobs overall. At this point it would be real good to have an intern who at least once a week thoroughly researched shows but fat chance of Williams Street assigning that task to anyone else now. There are other potential wrinkles that could be keeping the schedule stalled. While I'm sure the budget isn't any better than last year and might even be worse than last year, there is the possibility that they've already set aside a large chunk of it for Bleach but either can't start it yet or want to hold off until MHA ends as it's the best choice for headliner they can probably get for the 2nd half of the year. We can figure they had at least enough left in the tank to fill 12:30 and 1AM otherwise it made no sense to double up YashaHime and finish it earlier than necessary but maybe coming up with two other shows for roughly the same cost is proving difficult. Alternatively they're not able to finalize the deals for whatever they're currently going for as timely as they thought they could. DeMarco did mention how a lack of lawyers around the office since all the layoffs has caused delays. They're inching ever closer to Attack on Titan Final Final Finale Part 1 to the point that starting the next show/s after that airs makes more sense if they can "event program" until then. If that's the plan then it's evident that they either didn't nail down their March 11th stall tactic yet or it will be double MHA and double One Piece which technically isn't a change from March 4th. Optimistically, they didn't post the schedule yet because they think they can finalize something this week and start 1 or 2 shows on March 11th. And there's also the possibility that they're going to air Attack on Titan Part 4 Part 3 Part 1 on March 11th and they are not allowed to say so until Crunchyroll announces when the dub will stream. Because Crunchyroll sucks like that. We are never going to know how the process of finding shows has been going the past month but they've probably been trying their darndest to get SOMETHING and they did what they could to keep the block from becoming 3 straight weeks of double One Piece and double Shippuden.
  22. TMS and previously Sunrise were willing to work with them but that's basically it besides companies willing to do co-productions.
  23. I don’t think that’s a fair assumption given how tight the budget could be this year. We can’t just assume anything Sentai has is on the table either.
  24. Mayo is fine on sandwiches but it needs to stay the hell away from burgers.
