FLCL Grunge and maybe Bleach when YashaHime ends, also Titan.

Thanks for reminding me that we’re never getting Nomad on Toonami. Such a shame.

We’re at the point when double One Piece at midnight is probably a better choice than giving YashaHime the top slot. So if they do have two new shows then maybe they should toss YashaHime after OP or even after Shippuden. They probably won’t bury YashaHime at this point but it sure hasn’t done the block any favors.

They kinda pulled a reverse Fena and it certainly was a more satisfying ending than Fena. Part of me feels like the big reveals had to all happen in this episode but they could have gotten to the tension in episode 3 by the end of episode 2 and showed some more suspicious activity from the Kushide’s. Short of Yuri acting weird in the OP, the knife in episode 2 and something Kushide said in episode 1 there was hardly any reason to suspect the Kushide family until the dang episode preview. Personally I thought Yuri was sus by episode 2 but I didn’t expect her parents to be god worshipping psychos.

They have kept a necessary premiere on for Thanksgiving weekend before so they’d probably run Bleach that weekend. Dec 24th and 31st though are another matter. They can feasibly catch up in January but I would not be surprised if Viz didn’t upload an episode on Dec 30th or maybe even the 23rd since somewhere in December the recordings are bound to take a week or two off for the holidays.

The dub starts streaming on Hulu on Friday November 4th, the timing is perfect for Toonami to start airing it on November 5th. Let us remain hopeful that Viz didn’t hand all the keyblades to the kingdom to the mouse.

You have to wonder if Primal reruns would lift things from where they are at.

CN Studios demise has been greatly embellished. This current employee tore Cartoon Brew a new one. Though the statement about merging CNS and WBA originated from Variety and they got it from an internal memo.

CNS and WBA will combine while Hanna Barbera Europe will continue to exist as its own unit. Not the kind of synergy I’ve always wanted to see from WBA and The Cartoon Network. They say CNS will continue to produce content for CN, AS and HBO Max but with HBO Max’s move away from animation (they specifically note adult animation) there will be more shows developed for other networks and platforms.

I am quite curious about how the comedies airing before HCC did that night. High probability they saw their worst ratings in a while.

Man there will never be a time when Toonami will publicly announce they have nothing coming. What TV network does that? What streaming service does that unless they are admitting to cancelling a show? Why would any of you think they'd ever do that. And beyond that the nature of these deals makes it so things can and have changed in the months leading up to when a show was supposed to air and believe it or not they probably are constantly trying to avoid "having nothing" with whatever budget they have to work with. I know some of you guys don't like when DeMarco gives false hope but do you really want him to go on Twitter and say "hey guys don't expect anything to start in November or December" that's probably only going to fuel the "WBD is just about ready to kill Toonami" fire. If nothing's coming I don't think he needs to spoon feed us that info. We can brace ourselves for NOTHING on our own and be pleasantly surprise if its something. It's actually kind of curious why they don't just go easier on themselves and simply shorten the block. They have done so plenty of times prior. If they have absolutely no budget to acquire anything then it's as simple as dropping an hour or even two but they don't do it. They seem bound and determined to fill 12-3am with block premieres one way or another but if they were not allowed to air Primal this year you gotta wonder what they would have done instead. I know it's wishful thinking at this point that they got Bleach or MHA much less both but it would explain why they couldn't start a show on October 22nd. And if they couldn't get Bleach or My Hero Academia, chances are they still tried and because of that will have to come up with something sorta last minute. But if they did get Bleach or MHA or even both, that would certainly account for a sizable amount of their budget and we can debate amongst ourselves whether or not getting one or both of them was worth having more of a dry spell this year. Bleach in particular would make for a lot of content for next year. And if whatever is coming feasibly could have started on October 22nd instead of November 5th... They still might as well stall till November and stretch out whatever content they have coming.

Wow, even with the old gang back YashaHime shit the bed on an already low night. Thankfully Lupin made up for that a bit but soon it’s leaving.

They announced returning cast members (the most obvious ones) so they're gearing up to dub it but there's been no mention of when the dub will be available to watch on Hulu or Disney+ internationally. Is that a sign that Toonami is getting the dub? Not really but it does leave the possibility open for them to even get the dub premiere. I'm pretty sure the dub will be on Hulu regardless.

We all hope that. I think they have something but it might not be much.

I'd much prefer for two new shows to join in November even if they aren't the same week. If only Bleach or MHA does then Toonami will be fine but pretty dull still.

Well if Viz was going to say something at a convention, now would have been the time but they also haven't announced a premiere date for the dub on Hulu so we'll see.

FUNimation didn't exactly hype MHA's dub airing on Toonami so I didn't expect that from Crunchyroll either. I think we're still looking at 50/50 for MHA is Toho wants it on TV and maybe slightly better odds for Bleach.

Adult Swim has been crunching credits and speeding up shows for more ad-space and now they’re cutting back on ads for more shorts and other stuff. They kept a strict ad-space for 21 years on Adult Swim and only now are they running less ads. Very curious.

It’s possible but let’s not assume that is the case.

I mean if they were going to run that Made in Abyss movie they should probably do it on a weekend that isn't right before Halloween and actually they could do it the first Saturday of November and make use the extra hour. They somehow still have Neverland but if that's season 2 then for the love of all things decent let it only be the first 4 episodes and then we NEVER see that show again. I shudder at the thought of them filling the 3am hour with reruns of season 2. Big questions regarding the line-up in November with 2-3 potential openings for new content or more reruns. They didn't use October 22nd for a DC night promoting Black Adam and I'm a little bit surprised by that. They might do another movie night before the end of the year but probably not to promote anything in particular. It could go like last year or there might be some gas left in the tank. It's still too early to tell.

I think they’ll break their prior record set by YashaHime and get Bleach’s dub out in 4-6 weeks be that just for Hulu here or otherwise.

While Netflix has never bothered to bring in prior cast from Texas dubs going LA, they might actually do it this time and I applaud them if they do and get that entire cast on a union contract. I would not be surprised if there are some recasts but I hope they make a point of getting as many of the original cast members back as they can. They got back several from New York for Shaman King and Tia Ballard as well as Colleen Clinkenberd were in Eden Zero. So I really hope this doesn’t go like Saiki K or Takagi-san.
