  1. demarco has been answering questions on twitter and someone asked if the funimation/cr merger has been affecting toonami's ability to acquire shows and demarco said "Yes" confirming that acquiring content for the block has become much harder
  2. someone noted in the comments something about how the English cast for the jujutsu kaisen 0 movie were paid between $150-$600 for the dub work they did
  3. hoping chainsaw man doesn't get picked up by netflix...I'd really like to see that on toonami
  4. what's even weirder is Demarco stated they had to desperately stretch the budget to make this happen and....this could very well be the last Toonami event unless the budget improves
  5. shockingly the toonami discord and sub-reddit seems to love the news of more FLCL
  6. it's jason demarco's favorite anime
  7. Crunchyroll absorbed funimation because crunchyroll is more popular globally than funimation funny when you remember that crunchyroll was initially a piracy site and now they are the kings of anime streaming
  8. two episodes of one piece is still a snails pace and less happens in two episodes of One Piece than one episode of most things on the block right now
  9. all the content got moved to a generic international animation section i don't think Sony has any interest in putting that content on hbomax
  10. need to add some new cards,,
  11. I Don't necessarily think that will be the case....however i don't think it'll be business as usual either if crunchyroll under WM's ownership wasn't willing to work with toonami most of the time...that brings up the question is crunchyroll now easier or harder to work with...now that sony's calling the shots?
  12. what part of this sounds like a negative whiny topic? it's a genuine question anyone here could ask since crunchyroll has notoriously been difficult to work with even while WM owned them so now that everything funimation related will now be rebranded as crunchyroll content it's natural to be curious as to how this affects the toonami status quo lastly constantly accusing me of being mentally ill as a punchline isn't funny....nowhere did i imply i think toonami's gonna be canceled soon so quit putting words in my mouth and acting like i started this topic to scream about how toonami's doomed
  13. so does that mean crunchyroll titles that were previously off limits are now on the table such as Mob Psycho 100 S2?....
  14. crunchyroll titles(outside originals)haven't exactly been easy to acquire for toonami and now that all funimation titles will be under the crunchyroll brand name does that mean they'll also be as difficult to acquire as say Mob Psycho 100 Season 2 or will it just be business as usual moving forward...with the best outcome being that crunchyroll titles will be easier to acquire than they were previously?
  15. gonna be weird seeing the crunchyroll logo pop up for stuff like MHA on toonami
  16. I'm surprised there isn't a toonami hub on hbomax although someone theorized that perhaps they want to keep the toonami brand name exclusive to Cable Television....
  17. I can't help but think toonami must have gotten an amazing deal on one piece to keep it doubled up for this long... Toei can't really think "The American TV Viewing Audience will love this more than they did last time!"
  18. yeah they have far less patience because these kind of shows like one piece aren't as common as they once were and so it's pacing is far more annoying this isn't a show you can watch weekly it's something you have to binge-watch at this point...no way around that
