I'm this close to tuning out.....

i agree...it's ironic that the first night without one piece and my mother tuned out early like right in the middle of HXH she usually goes to bed right after one piece but since there's no one piece there wasn't really anything keeping her up any longer

it's amazing that this is the last toonami show of the night(that isn't a cheapo rerun) the last thing most people will see before tuning out is this shit show?....yeah

am i the only one who feels like throwing up with the thought that Naruto is now the main event show of toonami?(not counting the rerun slot of course)

yeah i know those kind of sites and the one site i use has been hacked and plagued with viruses so I've run out of options

if it never gets another chance then it means I'm forced to subscribe to funimation now.....seeing as the one site i used to use for my anime viewing is now hacked and plagued with viruses The DVD's aren't cheap....so i can't just load up on those

welp my mother's calling it a night early and she usually watches the whole toonami block or close to it....guess she didn't think Gundam And Naruto were worth staying up for not that i blame her....even HXH is having a hard time getting me engaged

DVD/Blu-Ray Sets Are Mad Expensive and not everyone has the cash to pay a monthly fee for something like funimation Now! there's other priorities out there...

it pisses me off that i cannot watch one piece on my ps4 unless i have a funimation now subscription...., i can watch it on my xbox one without having to pay upfront but that requires my mother constantly having to run upstairs just to watch one piece with me....so yeah not good

so much for using funimation now!...not in the position to give up credit card information just for a 2 week trial guess I'll watch One Piece elsewhere

if they put it near the end of the block then the same thing would happen....learn from your mistakes and don't repeat them if they pick the show up again don't put it in a crappy time slot and don't put encores on right as filler's about to start

meanwhile it's the last show on the block that's not a rerun so I'm forced to tune out

some thought Jojo would take a break because it would allow toonami to air something else and freshen up the block for a bit yeah i agree best chance is when DBZ Kai Wraps up....because as i said there's nothing and nothing else that could probably work in that slot as good as one piece We would then DB Super And One Piece....pretty good combo

i imagine if the ratings decline...toonami will just be unable to do anything if they had to can naruto in a few months i doubt they would be able to throw something like they did with one piece new shows aren't cheap especially new shows that people actually wanna watch

one piece will be back. Someday it's just too big to simply say "Yeah we're never airing you again" especially since the toonami crew loves the show... it just shocks me that in the toonami reboot a show actually got removed due to ratings in a crap time slot(a crap time slot that really shouldn't have been on One Piece if anything that should have been naruto from the start....) as you said the block needs long runenrs and since Jojo's rumored to take a break after Battle Tendencies finishes and Naruto probably will meet the same fate as one piece in that doomed time slot they will need a long runner...one or more of those shows will go down and DBZ Kai FC has what? like 64 or 63 episodes left once that ends they can't just pick up some random new anime and expect people to tune in for it like they would DBZ they need reliable familiar names

it just seems so ironic that the show all about a friendly gang of pirates fighting against crazy warlords and a corrupt government is shelved while naruto continues it's "Let's Save Sasuke even though he's evil!" schtick The Straw Hats love and care for each other Luffy Might not be the brightest tool in the shed but he's willing to help out any innocent person who needs his help and recruits those that have nowhere else to go Naruto just seems to do stupid shit without realizing what he's even doing to begin with......

it pisses me off to know that one piece got cut because adult swim has unrealistic expectations for The 1:30 AM Time slot and anyone who thinks "Oh it was doing too poorly to continue"....No Shit ! it was 1:30 AM there's no question the ratings were crap but by that point i don't think even DB Super Could salvage that time slot it's a dead zone most people will decide to go to sleep instead of staying up to 1:30 AM the toonami block itself is just too much of an exhausting marathon to forsake sleep for

yeah and that's why the rest of the week it's filled with crap like cleveland show reruns or king of the hill....(I.E Fox Animated Rerun garbage that you can get on a number of channels) my mother thinks this was more of a licensing issue than anything else and i gotta agree since as i said...ratings in the middle of the night on saturday shouldn't be expected to be good in the first place you just don't dump one piece into the 1:30 AM Slot and act shocked that it's rating's are total garbo who the hell is even awake for most of these shows? by the time one piece comes on You are lucky if your legs aren't asleep already

One Piece would have done a lot better had they made it a weekday prime time series there's enough episodes in the series to really do that for awhile the pacing of some of these shows really don't go well with a once a week format especially in the middle of the night on saturday

at least when the straw hats risked their lives to help out brook or save robin it was for a good reason and didn't make the main character look like an idiot like naruto does when he's chasing after sasuke sasuke the guy who is more or less a super villain at this point...nowhere near what I'd call a hero and yet naruto wants to risk his life to bring him back to the village

i feel like ratings shouldn't really matter so much when your core audience is gonna be asleep before the block even concludes how many of the viewers even stick around for the entire block and how many are just desperately clinging to the waking world trying so hard not to pass out? adult swim's original content has failed over the last few years and they have become more known for their spammage of fox animated reruns so at this rate i think toonami is the best thing adult swim has and it's just one night out of the week while the cleveland show gets more air time....the cleveland show the only macfarlane series to get canned and never return

there shouldn't be any kind of standards for 1:30 AM....by that time your lucky to get anyone watching anything it should be a miracle for a show to get any sort of view time at that hour

and that makes it worse....the only place for anime on tv and you need to stock up on caffeine to view it
