i''ve done that before. i can never really make much sense of it after because 9/10 times i don't appear in my dreams as myself. it's like i'm a completely different person with a past completely separate from my own that i'm aware of in the dream but then forget most of after waking. sometimes i'm a different race or gender, etc. so, yeah, dreams are weird.

i was pulling for murakami, but i don't think that's ever going to happen. i did read "the remains of the day" many years ago. interesting take on class. i also like how many of the events in the novel dovetail major events in the war but don't really mention them. maybe i'll go back and read it again...
