Back when I lived in Chicago, a critter got into an electrical substation. Lots of noise, flashes and a few city blocks without power for a couple of hours.

Nothing so snooty. We're talking farm kids & townies. Quarters, "Judge & Jury", 7up, Bullshit, & Euchre.

Not when I was my turn. I was really good at it.

Nope, Malort wasn't widely known during the time I was with people who played quarters. Which is a darned shame.

In the military, you were supposed to be able to bounce a quarter off a correctly made bed. At a party, you're supposed to be able to bounce a quarter into a solo cup (or a rocks glass) to make whoever you want to drink. Just don't point at them or you have to drink too. And don't swear or you have to drink. Ah, screw it, just drink!

Household stuff. Replace the UV unit in my HVAC, repair two water damaged ceiling sections, maybe repair the vent stack in the eave that's been plugged and rusted out since I got the place (who the heck had the idea that putting an 18" section of pipe perpendicular to the stack was a good idea?).
