Not that anybody asked or cares, but the channel that broadcasts the Blackhawks (and Bulls & White Sox) dies 10/1/2024. The Wirtz's (Blackhawks) & the Reinsdorf's (CWS & Bulls) have combined to start a new station. Meet the new broadcast channel, same as the old broadcast channel (NBC Sports Channel > Chicago Sports Network). What's new is that the games will be simulcast OTA. This is something that an article I was reading said is becoming more a prevalent trend across the US. There's something poetic about sports going from OTA to only on cable/satellite back to OTA.

ICYMI - NBC Network News had a piece on the NIU Head Coach, Thomas Haddock, called ND Head Coach Marcus Freeman after the game and told him, "This is what we saw...". Haddock said he did it because there's never been a Black College Head Coach that has won the College Championship. Classy act from a classy guy.

Still haven't come down from the high of beating the golden domers. It feels like when the Bears handed GB it's worst ever defeat in 1980.

Only drawback was I start to watch the game & a notification asks me if I want to watch it in 4k instead. I jump to the 4k version and the screen kept freezing up, but I wasn't switching.
