Actually, he announced the Gov't would purchase 75M barrels at ~7pm yesterday. And to be fair, no POTUS since the PAHPA bill was signed by Bush Sr. in 2006 has stockpiled anything. It was even reauthorized in 2013 by Obama. How would they know what would be needed? We could have stockpiled masks & respirators, only to have an outbreak spread by mosquitoes that required plasmapheresis units or some other system.
