Well, to take digs at my posts, the obvious conclusion is that you feel yours are somehow superior.

The majority are beholden to Speaker Madigan, who really calls (called?) the shots. You crossed Madigan, even if you were a Dem., you'd find yourself gerrymandered out of your district. He's currently suspected of being "Public Official A" in a Fed Investigation.

I'll assume you're referring to the "F*n Golden". Blagojevich, the most recent ex-con Governor.

Gov. was told he could only have a 30 day extension, then he'd have to get the Legislature involved. He has since extended it beyond the 30 days without involving the Legislature.

Prior to becoming governor, it came out that he'd had all the toilets pulled out of one of his mansions (during a rehab) before having the tax assessment done. The house was deemed "uninhabitable" and the taxes were lowered around $350K (paid after it was caught). After the assessment, at least one of the toilets were replaced so they could live there. It's being re-investigated now, due to things going on with Speaker of the Illinois House Mike Madigan. Jojo's was a restaurant chain in the 70s. A slightly upscale Denny's/Golden Bear type place (I think they had a bar) that usually had a large bubble window in the lobby. I don't remember them tying in with the potato wedges, so the name probably didn't derive from them.
