If you know any of the shows prior to House that Laurie was involved in (Fry and Laurie, Jeeves & Wooster, Blackadder, The Young Ones...), you'd know he's an amazing actor (and his singing & piano playing ain't too shabby either).

A foreign mean doctor on American soil probably wouldn't have gone over with an American audience.

I've seen NYC pizza on those "what city has the best" shows. I think you could lube a rental car with NYC pizza.

Dulles - very narrow airside, really crowded. I only had a few minutes to try to find my gate (and something to eat) after landing from FL, it was like a mall at Christmastime with less space. Never had problems with any car rental place, but I'd go out of my way to use Enterprise. They did a great job when I was trying to get to my folks place when my Dad was dying.

I think he did a fantastic job of being the Sherlock Holmes (House) of the medical profession, right down to living in 221B.

By avoiding the stuff my gut can't handle - raw onion or garlic, powdered onion or garlic, pretty much any fruit, sweet corn, sweet peas, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera... If you haven't done so already, look into a low fodmap diet. Essentially you avoid stuff that sets you off for awhile, then slowly add some of those things back in. If you've got the money, look into FoodMarble. I bought one when they hadn't even come out and it helped me find out what foods created a problem.

Getting up might have saved his life. I was thinking that had he just stayed down, the medics might not have thought the situation was life threatening. But getting up and just dropping, they're gonna jump at that. -

On the oddball side of westerns - Evil Roy Slade (John "Gomez Addams" Astin as a man in black gunslinger) Support Your Local Sheriff/Support Your Local Gunfighter (James "Maverick/Rockford Files" Garner) A Gunfight (Johnny Cash & Kirk Douglas) The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean (Paul Newman in a historical fiction movie) and of course Once Upon a Time in the West (Charles Bronson as the good guy and Henry Fonda as the bad guy - Fonda's bad guy was voted the most evil person in some survey at the time) And of course the star-studded "The Magnificent Seven" (The Seven Samurai goes western). Yul Brynner reprises the gunslinger he portrays in "Return of the Seven" and in the original "Westworld" and in "Futureworld". Brynner also did "Adios, Sabata" and "Pancho Villa". Oh, and this
