144K baud is the most we'll ever get from phone lines. A few months later, out comes 288K, but that is definitely it - no more. ADSL suddenly appears. -

There was also someone on the old boards that said they were being deployed to Iraq and never posted again. I never knew if that was someone roleplaying with an alt or serious.
