Anime writers need to stop looking within their own genre for inspiration and look at the outside world, watch some good ass movies, etc. You know some of the inspiration these writers would get by watching shit like Mandy, Hereditary, The Favourite, Sorry To Bother You, Spider-verse, etc.?
