  1. Sorry, but I'm gonna trust the industry insider over the armchair doomsayer on this one.
  2. The chick on the right seems alright in a '90s sort of way, but what the hell is up with Kenshi's mouth.
  3. Yeah, that's an understandable barrier to entry, but once you get past the mob-flavored first season, it really hits the ground running with all the character buildup and shout-outs to the Batman mythos. Think of the execution as Burton meets Nolan meets '60s Batman. And it's not so much about the superhero (no plural), but the supervillains. Batman does have the best villains, after all.
  4. I was always under the impression Mitsuki was Kaworu. Oddly serene personality, has a totally no homo crush on the MC, related to the antagonists in some way or another... Where'd you ever get the idea he was Rei?

  6. They're probably gonna air it anyways because contracts.
  7. No CN show nowadays can even touch the terrible look of Problem Solverz, the show that literally made an online cartoon reviewer nearsighted when he hadn't been before.
  8. It's not exactly a "rule" in the strictest of sentence, but more of a happy coincidence. I watched Sym-Bionic Titan all the way to the finish to make up for missing the last nine episodes on regular CN, sat my ass down for Jack Season 5 after plowing through the first 52 episodes - 30 of which I watched in almost an entire sitting less than 24 hours before premiere night! - and am planning on checking out Primal when it premieres on [as] proper. Compare that to Thundercats, which I only watched the first two episodes of but never bothering beyond that (and for good reason, from what I hear), and Beware the Batman, which I didn't even care for enough to start watching. It wasn't until I got into Gotham a year after CN lost the rights to Beware that I started really caring about the Batman mythos.
  9. When it comes to subjective matters, everybody's right.
  10. At what point did Jingai become the stereotype of a grumpy old man?
  11. How Much Heavy Dumbbells Do You Lift? 1 (rewatch)
  12. Tonight on Toonami, the missing fighters from Universe 4's roster finally make their move, we travel back to the past to when a young Eren's father lived in a WWII allegory, Kirito faces Administrator mano a mano in the Gary Stu-tacular season finale of SAO, Lupin's apparent demise gives Ami the desire for revenge against the Marco Polo community, Soma's first day at the Totsuki Culinary Academy finds him the object of ridicule by an entire school's worth of Monomas, Asta's chances in his second round match are jeapordized by in-fighting with Troll Prince JYB 2.0 (the less attractive model), Mitsuki reflects on his past when he had none to remember, today's recap filler focuses on Sasuke witnessing Naruto's growth as a ninja during the Chunin Exams, young Char Aznable Casval Rem Deikun comes to a decision regarding whether he leaves Munzo with the Zabi family or with the Rals, and MHA takes a brief break from canon to have a movie tie-in where Class 1-A tests their skills in a mock hostage situation, and guess who one of the "hostages" is? 11:00 - Dragonball Super #119 - Unavoidable? 13. First amendment rights, Elfie. They're a thing, even in cases such as this.
  14. Ultraman 5 Gungrave 4
  15. Better question, how is AIC still in business when most of their offshoot studios have already closed up shop?
  16. Celebrities' obsession with tweeting about political bullshit is the reason why the only people I follow on Twitter are three fetish artists and one anituber who used to post on the ASMB.
  17. Venture Bros., when it's not on hiatus.
  18. The Warner's JoJo set and the Dimension W boxset that Daos claimed wouldn't sell a single unit.
  19. By the way... I win. 😗
  20. Jesus Christ almighty... I knew it'd be bad, but not this bad. 😫 So how long until MHA is put back at the start of the schedule?
  21. 1. Attack on Titan (It might not be Titan porn, but what we wound up getting is good too.) 2. Lupin the 3rd: Part 5 (Zenigata would easily be one of Lupin's best friends if they weren't on opposite sides of the law.) 3. Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin (Okay, now I'm starting to understand why some people enjoy the political intrigue side of Gundam.) 4. My Hero Academia (Leave it to MHA to make Bakugo screaming at professional victims a deep moment.) 5. Food Wars! (I liked it better than most everyone else and even I think Gundam had the better premiere.) 6. Dragon Ball Super ("We're fifty-thousand guys now!" "Sup.") 7. Boruto: Naruto Next Generations (Asuma and Kurenai's kid grew up cute, and surprisingly older than I expected.) 8. Naruto Shippuden (Without the context of him being poisoned, Naruto stabbing his own hand really does look like he's got a self-destructive personality.) 9. Black Clover (I'd probably be enjoying this more if the literally who characters had better designs.) 10. Sword Art Online: Alicization (This episode was stupid, and I'm the guy who thinks Fairy Dance was the best pre-Alicization arc.)
  22. As I mentioned in my previous post, there was a very important post-credits scene cut from this week's Titan. For those who want to see it before next week so things make sense, here it is. Yes, that's Deku voicing Eren's dad as a kid.
  23. The French, man. They get away with a lot in their cartoons. I blame their being less prudish about sex than us Americans.
